Oooh. I technically have 38 days left to go, but more likely to be about 24 assuming the c section is pretty bang on 38 weeks. Though my mum who is with me at the moment thinks I won't even go that long!!
OH cut the cord with DD. He was underwhelmed by the experience - though as you know it was a traumatic birth, and he was pretty overwhelmed by all that had gone down. DD had an umbilical hernia though (an outie not an innie when the stump fell off) and he felt guilty for ages that he'd done it wrong, until a doc explained to him what it was!0 -

Fitzio's link has some extra text at the front which stops it working.
I took it out but you need to login to Yahoo to view!!0 -
I suggested skin to skin for OH before noogle is cleaned up and he wasn't too happy with that one but I think he might change his mind when it actually happens.
MW today said that they heat up towels whilst you are in labour then as you deliver, put towel on your chest, put baby on top, give baby a quick rub over (kind of stimulates them) and then they whip the towel away and leave you to have cuddles
Apparently they aren't anywhere near as messy as they make out on the tele :rotfl:
