xmas (I think?) you were saying that you felt that there were things that you needed to get for the hb... I was the same which was why the daft shower curtain question came about  the adsa smart price ones are fine :D I had one on top of the clean sheets on the bed, then a big fleecy blanket over the top with an old sheet on top of that (so that the bed was already made underneath). DH did put another on the carpet (cream!) at some point towards the end - the one on the carpet was only needed a bit (iykwim)

The one thing that we used loads of was towels (and tbh they are all fine (30 degree was straight away with bio liquid to remove the blood and then a 60 wash after to clean) unless you are really organised and have collected old towels (I hadn't :o)

I wouldn't have been without the fan - I was so hot at some points and then all of a sudden freezing - we have a bunch of ikea fleecy blankets (which were thankfully all clean and in the drawer!) which I used to warm up/keep warm (rather than using the duvet)

I had a ribena bottle (vending machine) with a straw stuck in so that dh could let me have a sip when needed. (the cartons of juice in the fridge weren't cold enough)

I asked mum to pick up some of the maternity bed pad things on her way back here with the kids... although my bleeding has almost stopped (was quite heavy for the 1st day then tailed off) I have one on the nursing chair and one at the side of the bed still :o

Although I the mw did say that she had everything that we would need (when she dropped off the kit) although here they dropped off the gas and air cannisters and a locked box with the mouth piece in and the vit k etc.

Sorry I have a feeling I have seen these questions asked :o I am wondering if I imagined it now :rotfl:

Thanks harley It was one of dd2's blankets because I [STRIKE]didn't[/STRIKE] don't have any for the baby yet :oand she was in dd1's bed at the time as her cot was still in its box :o I do have sleeping bags - she just isn't big enough to go in them! and the swaddle wraps were still wet when she arrived :o

    Welcome Jopsey :)

Wow Glam thats a great bump!!! I am so jealous you are all so slim with a baby bump, I am just going to be a big fat heffa :(

I am planning on doing some Charlies Ark cross stitches for babys nursery, I love Charlies Ark

Ohhhh Glam did you get the moses basket via Quidco or something like that?

I havent asked OH if he wants to cut the cord or not, I will have to ask him, I doubt he will have thought of it?

Are TENS machines good? what exactly are they?

    YAY for baby Tigs!!!

CB - Photobucket is blocked from work but I will take a look when I get home.

    Morning Ladies :) btw

I use TopCashback - so far this year I've had £40 cashback from Car Insurance, £30 from Home Insurance and odd £'s from other smaller items. It's all tracked and been paid into my PayPal account.

The TENS machine is supposed to increase certain levels that block the pain receptors in your brain. If you start using it when you get contractions you can boost the pain during a contraction and get a constant massage the rest of the time. Loads people have recommended them.

I have found they are more cost effective to buy than hire - only about a tenner more and you could get your money back selling them on eBay.

I hope to just use gas and air and the TENS machine but we'll see what happens on the day :p

Going to list some stuff on eBay and then go shopping and clinic. Then this afternoon is put all the baby clothes away in the nursery.

    CB - SHe is gorgeous!!!

Yay to Tigs for coming off the ventilator :D
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Re the footy - it was West Ham vs Millwall. Millwall are the worst fans ever - all planned fights before the game, spilled over into the stadium with supporters on the pitch and ended up with a guy being stabbed.
    :rotfl::rotfl:

Off course they are!!!! The Sun says so and so does my mum's mate's cleaner's son-in-law...

And all these planned fights , I wonder who they were planned with? Probably other Millwall considering they are the worst fans ever.

Nothing like a balanced view eh?

Now let's all board the 'all men are b'stards' train to Stereotypesville. Let's not let any facts get in our way.

Not sure how your final comment follows from the rest? Or are you on 'all women are hysterical/irrational/man-hating' train to the same destination?
