Can anyone tell me if the child benefit it taxed? I think I will still earn above the minimum for tax in my year off but not sure if it's just my maternity pay that is taxed or the maternity pay and child benefit.

We must have slow taps up here! Or massive birthing pools! Physhiotherapist said to phone in advance as it does take 2 hours to fill!
She said that they had a water birth in one of the pools today, and it was a first as the mother wanted to cut the cord herself. She said they had never come across it before, but it was really nice! Not sure I fancy it. DH doesn't want to cut the cord either. Anyone else's OH's doing that?0 -
My OH doesn't want to cut the cord, I though he would but he doesn't see the point.

Only just talked OH into doing skin to skin contact if I can't for any reason - he might pass at at that suggestion!!!
Our pool is like a big bath maybe twice the size
Just had a frightening 2 mins - saw on the news the trouble at the footy tonight and my step-dad and bro were there! Fortunately, they are almost home and all OK - phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Princess - I do have 4 weeks to go but I'm being induced in 16 days so even closer!!!!! Start my eviction plan from 1st September when I'm 37 weeks (subject to house and batch cooking all done!)A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Glad they are ok hun!!
Even sooner then :rotfl:
I try not to think about mine 122 days til baby is due and 122 days til xmas :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
No, OH just thinks he would rather leave things like that to the docs rather than get in their way. It doesn't mean anything to him to do it, so that's fine with me!
Think I will try and pack my hospital bag tomorrow and finish washing baby clothes etc. Can't decide how much clothing to take for myself. Assuming everything goes ok, I would probably only be in overnight won't I? How much stuff have you packed Glam? 2 pairs of joggy bottoms and 2 tops? Or more? How many PJs/nightshirts? Everywhere I read lists, it says different amounts.
Gosh - had no idea about the football trouble. It's terrible that people still behave like that! Glad your family are ok.0 -
I suggested skin to skin for OH before noogle is cleaned up and he wasn't too happy with that one but I think he might change his mind when it actually happens.
