  • thanks.. i think the name change was a big positive step... now Alfie is mine and only mine. his father has shown no interest since he left (little before) and will therefore have no say in important matters... and that includes his name.

Hmmmm i have a dilemma. My car battery was flat yesterday, so i've been going out to periodically run the engine since then and it's been fine, although struggling, getting a new one tomorrow night.

Just been out and it won't start at all, and it's pouring buckets up here, not sure how i'm gonna get to hospital in the morning...?? I'm wondering how bad it would be of me to ring and explain and ask if i can have another date? I haven't got a penny for a taxi, it's too far to walk and there's no direct bus service so loads of walking anyway. It's a bit short notice though innit!! :o
  • better that than calling an ambulance to get there...

Well there's a garage nearby who helped me the other day but he was right miserable old fart about it and grumbled although he did start it just by getting his lads to push it, no jump leads needed... My sister has some jump leads but she won't be able to come over that early with her kids... And i'm not altogether confident it'd start again to come home if i did get it there, judging by how fast it's totally drained tonight!!

I'd feel like i need to offer the garage money to jump me, but i don't have a bean ti next week lol!!
