Afternoon all, Well i ended up going to a new doctors.
After i dropped the kids of i went to my mums so i could call for an appointment at my original doctors at 8'30. the reply when i said i would like a call back from the doctor "oh it's you again you do know the doctor will not be able to do anything until you have seen MW" so i just hung up done an errand for OH.

When to the new doctors and explained what was happening they weren't able to see me as they have no medical history but the nurse came round the counter and took my heart rate the old fashioned way lol Quickly felt my bump and booked me for her first appointment on Monday morning.
She even advised me on NRT because i was not doing to well on my own and i didn't want to use a counter bought patch etc. She even adviced me on the supplements to take in the morning.

I left feeling allot better not 100% but not as anxious now. roll on Monday.
Sitting drinking a berry tea trying to cut down on the caffeine intake. feel like a different person today.

Hello to newbies and hope everyone is well, i need to catch up.

I've only seen a few of your posts so don't know what is wrong, but glad you got to speak to someone. Feel better soon.

  • Thanks guys, I`m going to take your advice and say that I don't want to go but if he wants to, that I dont mind him still going. I could happily spend an evening watching a nice movie or having a bubble bath lol.
Todays weirdness is that I can smell coslaw everywhere i go today. I had some last night but now I am at OH`s shop and I can still smell it. And before anyone says it I don`t have wind lol

Ahh, the reaon i asked is because people keep asking why we're leaving the flat for a house. The flat is cheaper then a house would be.
But i want a house with a garden *stamps feet like toddler* :rotfl:

Im taking 2 weeks holiday before my ML, as my ML starts xmas day and i want to have time to prepare the house ready for xmas before xmas lol.

Also it means i can go decoration crazy on the house and OH cant stop me as he'll be at work! :D

Oooh OH has found a job he wants to apply for! And i really think he could do it. Its a library assistant, buts its an extra £2k a year than he's on now and he would love it. He wants to get into teaching and this role requires running of the childrens reading sessions :)

If he does get this job, will he still be entitle to paternity leave? Does anyone know?

Oooh i would of loved twins, OH was a twin and i have twins in my family. But theres only one bean in me this time :)

    xx

Ahhhh I see, no I would be the same as you, I would want a house too, I love my house with my garden

Ohhh you see you have more shot of having twins the next time lol

I hope your OH gets that job that would be great

Beenie - Yeah I can imagine the worry just gets worse when the baby is born lol I guess its just part of being a mother

I personally am against circumcision for non-medical reasons, I see it as mutilation:o foreskin is there for a reason - to protect the glans.
There's also a lot of people that claim it reduces sensitvity and therefore enjoyment :undecided

on the looking the same front, my dad has been done and my son has been him nudey in the bath/shower and hasn't noticed/commented :D

ooh that was alot of biological terms for one post :p
    How is everyone?

Thank Sami, see I really am of the opinion if it ain't broke don't fix it. Unnessecary medical procedure just seems like a bad idea-things could go wrong. On the sensitivity front it hasn't caused him any issues (though as he had it done as a baby he has no basis for comparison:p).

I also see it as a choice thing-I hate seeing baby girls with pierced ears as I think they should be old enough to make the decision for themselves....actually hadn't made this link in my head until now, it really does help to focus your thoughts talking on here doesn't it!

As per Sami's post above, I don't think he would qualify as he wouldn't have worked for 26 weeks by the 15th week before your baby is due. However, my OH started a new job three weeks ago, so is in a similar position..but when they offered him the job we asked if they would consider giving him the paternity leave rights anyway and they agreed! :j So its worth asking.....after all if they think he is best for the job, a couple of weeks off shouldn't affect them that much! Good luck to him!!

    Afternoon ladies

Ive had another productive day i ahve anaged to get the kids their winter coats for going back to school and also sorted their party outfits for the weekend they are going to ex sis in laws birthday doo they look so cute :-)

I also managed to pick up a beautiful necklace for my daughter its a little white gold squiggle with 3 diamonds set into it it cost me a bit but then its something that she can keep forever and possibly pass on to her daughter if she ever has one.

I almost got very tempted by a new phone but i managed to hold myself back there is nothing wrong with the one i have i just like new gadgets so im rather proud of myself.

I finally feel ready to have this baby as well, midwife sorted my prescription and pethadine is in the fridge ready to go i am adamant that it wont be used but it puts my mind at rest to know its there if i need it. just got to wait for him to put in an appearence now :-)

32b glad you finally got to see someone and you will get a proper check up on monday i cant believe how unhelpfull your surgery have been.

welcome to the newbies and congratulations :-)

Sorry if i have missed anything :-)

I am so glad you are feeling a bit better 32b and glad someone saw you if only brief and you have an apt. Relax and enjoy the weekend.

My hubby is also circumcised but it was for medical reasons, well he actually had an accident falling off his bike when he was 10, The handle bar had half done it for surgeon already _pale_ We have a boy and it never entered our head no pun intended to have him done just so he is like his dad.

It's one of my pet hates also to see babies with there ears pierced. They are babies not adults! why do people like to see there children look grown up? They don't stay babies for ever make the most of it. It's glamorizing children. I am only 28 myself but i guess i must have quite old fashioned beliefs. I saw this poor girl she must have only been about 5 wearing a bikini top a denim mini skirt and high heels while out shopping. The poor child kept going over on her ankles and her shoes kept falling off and her mother kept telling her off for messing around!

Fishcake you made me laugh with the coleslaw comments! I has a similar thing though a few weeks ago where I kept smelling random things that weren't there, it has stopped now though.

Glad you feel ready for baby arriving xmas - must be a lovel feeling! You can just relax and wait now I guess! (Although probably easier said than done!)

Glam yes it has been quiet without you! Don't feel bad for not replying to everyone though, you'd never get anything done if you replied to everybody on here! I know I wouldn't anyway.

I will [STRIKE]second[/STRIKE] third the comments about baby's with their ears pierced - I really hate that. Sorry if anyone has done this with their children but I think it looks quite !!!!!.

Circumcision I feel similarly about, if there's no medical reason then I wouldn't consider getting it done. I'm pretty sure that daddy's bits will look pretty different from baby's bits for more than long enough for baby to get to a stage when it can all be explained to him and if he wants to have it done then, then it's his choice.

On another note I just got back from Lidl with my new pillow! They had a few left in srock so I was pleased. I'll see how I get on tonight and hopfully will manage to stop myself sleeping on my tummy and waking up with a sore bump.

32b - glad you are feeling better about the whole dr experience. As someone else said, relax and enjoy your weekend!
