  • Are beacon used when someone has bad credit? What kind of rates can you expect?x
  • Yes as most main stream lenders won't look at you even with a large deposit and only a slight blip in your credit history. I am paying 6.25% for two years. 25% deposit.
  • I can't understand why you are all having these problems, my case went to Beacon on the monday, offer by the thursday, instructed an audit valuation which is being done tomorrow. I feel that they have been very quick.....well so....your broker should be keeping on top of all this for you.

Good luck and be patient, hopefully you will hear something soon.

  • Yes my solicitor got the offer on the same day as I did.
  • re the fees massive as those rates are better than the one I've just applied for with RBS and I have a default
  • The fees are pretty high, unfortunately there is no way round them....i only have a mobile phone default of £20, I have tried everywhere else to get a mtg, I don't have a choice if I want to stay on the ladder. My default is off in two years so the plan is to re-mortgage as soon as my deal is finished hopefully to a mainstream leander.
