hi everyone,
aimzrabbit, i know what its like believe you me ,I know you have waited a long time, and so have I, its just one different story each time i get any news, definitely feel that I have been getting the run around. Did your broker get back to you yet ?
carla09, you have been so lucky, getting your offer quickly like that, let us know how the audit valuation goes ? sounds like you have a very good broker :-)
best wishes to everyone waiting or applying ,i have no hair left :-) !
Keep in touch let us know how you all get along :-)0 -
Some cases take longer as the underwriters feel certain cases need more back ground investigation.
There are a thousand different factors that can cause underwriters to be more investigative.
1 example - an applicant may have claimed to work for a company 3 years, but the underwriter may decide to search companies house to see if the employer has existed three years - thats only an example.
In the end as I keep saying, if you and the property truly are presenting a low risk, then you've little to worry about.0 -
Hi conrad,
I just saw your post ,I can fully understand that underwriters have to be thorough.
But why is it one think a week, why not go through the case and ask all the questions they have to instead of drip feeding questions, its so frustrating :-(
And surely if they arent sure about a case, then they should decline it right away, not just keep looking for things, it really is so confusing.
Im sure like a lot of people applying for mortgages, I have been honest and upfront. I really do have to move for my own sanity, why dont they ask the borrower questions like that ,and then they might understand better of course as well as checking all the other standard things they have to check. :-)
Hi everyone else,
Anyone got any news ?
Thank you :-)0 -

Hi Everyone,
i'm new to the forum so hope I can fill you in with everything .
We went to a broker beginning of june to remortgage. They went to beacon. After constant calls to broker and no sign of final mortgage papers I have decided to stick with present mortgage for approx six months . This will allow credit file to be cleared of defaults as they will wipe off in the next few months.. currently libor + 2.5%
There are two small ccj's ( under £200 ) that are satisfied going back to 2007. hopefully I am making the right decision. Broker says we should still hang on for beacons offer which is fixed 6.45 for three years and a whopping £2700 fee !!0
