Your completion will be fine, once Beacon have authorised it clock work from there side the funds will be in an queue ready to go. Down to your sols now.
In respect of your payment simply call you mortgage adviser tomorrow who will be able to find out. I would expect you 1st payment to be the 1st of feb but this will be higher than your usual payment as you will have 6/7 weeks without paying.0 -

Hi Aimz
I settled too on the 6th of November, you said your payments have changed with the libor rate? Don't you have a fixed rate? I know mine will be linked to the Libor when my 2 years fixed is up. Are you still a bit nervous of Redstone?

no we got the 3 year libor cos we had a bigger deposit
which is libor loaded with 3%
we was offered the 2 year at 8.45 originally but opted for the libor trackerI am NOT a mortgage advisor nor a professional in any debt related matters my replies to posts reflect my personal view only and experience in life time situations that may or may not be of any use to you if you need advice speak to a professional0 -
Hi Aimz
I get it, I took a two year fixed at 6.1%, then hopefully in two years I will get a mainstream deal.
Keep in touch.

Hi all! Just found this thread again...am writing this from my own living room in our new home, we're finally sorted with internet connected etc. It's such a nice feeling to have our own space, it *just about* makes up for all the stress of this summer :rotfl: Mind you I've just found a huge patch of damp in our bedroom which I am not too impressed about... but that's another story anyway, the joys of being a homeowner now I suppose! lol. Hope everyone else is settling in tooHi Aimz

I know you didn't ask me, but I am a wee bit nervous of Redstone too! Just from all the scare stories I've read, they don't sound the most forgiving of mortgage lenders. We'd go hungry and sell all our possessions before we missed a mortgage payment so hopefully we will not find out the hard way, but it's still quite scary to know that they would probs take us to court over even 1 missed month. Having said that, we've found Redstone quite helpful so far... I phoned up to pay our first month's interest payment by card over the phone and the man I spoke to couldn't have been nicer or friendlier! Our direct debits start on 1st Jan, so hopefully all should go smoothly after that.
We've got a 3 year fixed rate at 5.95%, after which OH's defaults should be cleared and he'll have a good credit rating again... so when that time comes, we'll hopefully be off to try our luck with the high street lenders! But I am grateful to Beacon/Redstone, they serve a good purpose - no other lender would touch us, so they're the only reason we're sat in our own home right now!
Would defo be good to keep this thread going, see how everyone's getting on!

pleased to hear that looks like we got in just at the right time with beacon
so far so good with Redstone for us and yes they where very polite on the phone as well
I think since some negatives posts on them they have improved and also the fact that beacon are due to stop lending they will recieve hardly any new business for the near future so they need to treat us the customers..
well ive documented my bank statement and opened up a file in the house which im going to store every payment and bank statement for redstone ..
