    Everyone seems to think it is a clear cut case - it doesn't seem to be.

    Would a judge not consider that a cheap oven will need some minor repairs over it's lifetime, and that given OP brought said oven some 3 years ago, there's no reason for Ikea to sponsor said minor repairs?

    Yes and all solicitors work for free these days?

    Or are you , once again, "presuming" that the company will not defend with it's own solicitors?

    Would you be willing to take a proffesional on with this case?

    Everyone seems to think it is a clear cut case - it doesn't seem to be.

    Maybe i'm negative, but if you don;t consider the worse case scenario then all advice is given blindly.:confused:

    IKEA certainly won't use external solicitors in this as it is simply not cost effective.

    Okay , i have an update ... ikea are phoning me monday to credit my bank account for the repair , i can then go ahead with the repair .. so I should have an oven in ohh errr a few months.

    well cant wait to repair the thing and sell t lol

    yey me , took 4 times to chase ikea .. money refunded to account will arrange fixing now.. see how long that takes. hopefully before christmas

    okay lil update now been 11 weeks which according to CD is over guidance of 28 days so ... i thinks a letter off to them monday .. ikea nad repairers asking for a oober fast repair or a like replacement that works
