I started to type out much the same thing, but couldn't find the right words. So I'll just steal yours instead and just say "I so agree". Look after #1 Buffy. No other !!!!!! will.

Think you said it better

ps Lou - hope the rest of the week went ok?[/QUOTE]

Thanks for your concern, Buffy. I 'survived' the end of the week after having a major marking session on Thursday night - there's just not enough hours in the day is there?! I'm just taking everyday as it comes at the moment. Sadly I don't think I will be able to stick the job forever as I can't cope with the marking.

Sorry I hit return before I finished the message!! So sorry to hear you're having a manic weekend. You have my upmost respect, Buffy for managing to keep going in such a difficult atmosphere. By and large, my school is a good place, even if the workload is harsh.
I agree with the others though, hon - you must take time to look after yourself as well as your family. Thanks for your support. Louxx

    Thanks Guys,

Shoe Gal you didn't offend me at all, I just have such a lot of guilt about the whole situation.

She has such fun in Florida and I am pretty miserable here and think that is why she is so keen to "look after me" even if I find it hard to cope with.Iam miserable at work but its a catch 22 no job no money (I have been looking for a new job up untill recently and there hasn't been anything locally). Once I am debt free it will be easier. Once I can drive it will be even easier.

I think it is that constant battle a lot of us have on the SAID thread about be organised, decluttered and not (for me any way), living in this panicky chaos trying to keep everyone happy.

    Tomorrow my priority must be

    1. Guinea pigs, who bless them need a good clean out
    2. Marking 1 set of books and essays
    3. Hopefully marking my year nine essays.
    4. visiting my best friend in the afternoon

Trouble is I started buying Christmas presents today and I have no room to put anything now.

all of your support means the world to me thank you

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Have a good time with your friend today, don't put too much pressure on yourself to to perfect (I'm sure you've noticed - none of us are perfect :D)

  • I feel better today, plan going well, don't have to be at friends until 7

I have worked out that if I could do the £10 a day thread for 7 months I could be out of debt by the end of July.

    OMG. Basically.

I have never put my wages up here cos I am so embarrassed at being in debt when I earn so much (obviously I wasnt earning this at the time of the loans etc and now I have two jobs it is a little different) but if I did cut right down on my silly expenses then e bay all the stuff I have been putting off e baying it could work. I might even manage a nice summer, perhaps a little holiday (ok getting over excited here! )

If I don't do that it will Oct 2010 so you know not a total disaster either way! and then I could quit!!

Shoe Gal you really are a good friend xx

Go for it Buffy :j With either option you will be debt free in less than 12 months which is fantastic. You could then decide what to do with the rest of your life

I am at least 5 years away from being debt free so my approach is different - chip away whillst still having a life

You have the opportunity to start with a clean slate in less than 12 months - new job, new home - new country even  I really envy you being in that position (but not in a bad way, I am happy for you :o) - just go for it :A

  • After being so happy earlier I crashed in a great deal of style this evening.

It was a silly thing, the straw that broke the camels back was the fact that the Guinea pig cage had a split in it and their pee had leaked through on the carpet and my book case and has pretty much ruined the book case, its a small thing but it is always is, I burst into tears and phoned my best friend who did a sterling job of calming me down and telling me everything would be ok(it was the whole marking and obs tomorrow that was really stressing me out!!)

The Gps have been moved to a smaller but leakproof cage, I feel bad but they don't seem bothered!! and it is only temporary (they have done nothing but eat since I put them back!)

My room is tidy, thanks to my LOVELY Mum my presents are wrapped for my friend and I am now just off out once I find my jeans

I think the proper full on sobbing did me the world of good, feel MUCH better

    Love Buffy xxxx
