Buffy, getting cross on your behalf here hun. How dare they email you when you're off sick. Dont reply, tell em you were too ill to be bothered with emails etc
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
  • You see its funny, to everyone on the outside it seems so wrong but to me its so normal, I was chatting a friend last week who also checked her e mail in the evening(I didn't have to) but we both decided that it was better to get any nasty shocks out of the way and to know if you were going to be called in to explain yourself, the level of paranioa is huge.

I am so torn, I keep thinking one day I will be caught up and the politics will be managable, I will be debt free and have a masters - long term it is logical to stay but the short term(argubly how most of experience life) is sometimes so crushingly awful that I don't know that it is worth it....

well this is not getting books marked. thank you for listening and being so kind, as especially as I have been in this position for so long.

    Hi Buffy

Hope you're feeling better. I think you should take tomorrow off too, and probably get signed off sick for a couple of weeks

Buffy. It really, really sounds like you need a holiday.

You see that just made me laugh out loud! I knew there was a reason why I should have had kids!

Today my job reached a new low. My "friend" criticised my teaching. And it was such a horrible ambush, really crappy thing to do. I am so disappointed in her she has been completely sucked in and totally believes that the management are right to load all this work on us and expect us to work all over weekends and all hours. I was utterly upset on the way home.

In an attempt to feel better I e mailed a couple of actual friends about changing specialism. If I can do it with in the school it would be great but otherwise I shall start looking after Christmas. I do feel bad about leaving the kids and the good staff but I feel very rotten like I am being destroyed from the inside out. I mean I had 8 people come see me after school today, all miserable. EIGHT!

    In other news,

The crunchy nut cornflakes ad really annoys me

And I cuddled the Guinea Pigs and they didn't seem to totally hate it!

I do have work to do but frankly it realy doesn't matter. I just keep thinking its nearly the weekend. its nearly the weekend....................

My loan now stands at 11256, and my cc is 644. I will pay that in a sec.

    Hi Buffy,

You sound just like I feel. I should have marked a set of 30 books tonight and I just don't have the energy! Problem is that I have to teach that class tomorrow. Any ideas how I can get round that?

It sounds like your school thrive on brainwashing and it seems like they have finally got to your friend. What is your specialism at the moment?

    LouShoex
  • I have to say Lou, I have done the sneaky do some "special work" - a project, a booklet a poster? group work on sugar paper , display work, a suprise test!

    gee, that list looks bad!

I can't do it any more as the curriculum is so prescriptive and my hod wants to know the second I deviate even slightly from the plan.

I want to move into Special needs. Its always been a thing of mine. I should be able to find some thing in on supply.
