Morning Ladies, Atm just have jeans and a vest on for scruffing about. Getting ready for work soon, cant decide between a 2 in one dress, blue floral skirt with black vest attached with a black and white belt & bf cardi OR Orangy yellow floral dress, white 3/4 tshirt and cream wasit belt! Hmmm decisions!!:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0

Hello (peeps head round the door to see if a lurker can join in ?
)
I'm hoping you can all help me as I'm having a major wardrobe/self-image/style issue at the moment.
I'm in the process of losing weight (for the umpteenth time !) and I desperately need some advice/guidance as I feel I've lost my way a bit.
I don't even know where to start ! Probably the basics would be good ....... size 16 (almost!), age 35 (so New L**k clothes probably now out - mutton dressed as lamb springs to mind ), red hair, 5ft 7, pear-shaped and large thighs .
I've been picking up things at CS/Ebay/Jumble sales that I wouldn't usually entertain wearing and some have been disastrous while other's I don't think look too bad. I can't seem to find my own sense of style ....... I'm a bit of a walking disaster at the moment ! :rotfl:
So any advice would be very much appreciated. I shall aim to take a photograph of myself this evening and pop on my blog. I absolutely hate my pic being taken but if it helps you wonderful ladies to get a better idea of what might suit me, then so be it.
Thanking you all in advance ..... xx Love all your blogs btw, they're great !
Hi and welcome, can't wait to see your pics! :A
Red hair is absolutely beautiful, mine is naturally blonde but I swear I am going to dye it red some day (Florence Welch red!). Embrace it as others have said!
New Look is defo not just for the under 35s, they have some fab and very flattering stuff and I will certainly still be shopping there when I'm 35+. I also love Zara, H&M, Topshop, Primark, Monsoon and Oasis - anywhere really.
Don't spend too much on clothes right now if you are losing weight, just buy a few cheap basics to see you through (preferably skirts and dresses as these can be belted and worn more loosely when you lose weight). I am also trying to lose weight right now but I have a whole wardrobe of pre-weight gain clothes that I can't fit into yet!
Good for you picking stuff up in CS, eBay etc - I love doing this and have just this morning bought a GORGEOUS purple chiffon dress with sheer sleeves in a local CS, oh I love it and it was only £3!!!!! It's a size 8 and fits me (quite snugly mind), so in a few lbs' time it will be perfecto. I might take a pic and post it for you all to see.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Hello fashionistas
And *waves* to newbies. Can I just say that I think natural red hair also rocks. My Mum is a redhead and still looks astonishing even in her 60s but I inherited my Dad's mousy locks and have always been deeply envious.
Me today:
Black scooped neck top (Dotty P)
cream crochet slouchy short sleeved jumper (Miss Selfridge sale)
Teal Cord pencil skirt (Aquascutum via chazza shop)
Black tight
Black biker boots (ASOS)
Black leather jacket (Superdry)
Scarf (handknitted)

So ended up with something different!!
Black Evans leggings
blue & Red Floral dress dps - both work uniform from aggges ago!
Black boyfriend cardi dps- bought with double discount
browny coloured worker/biker boots - dps sale
Ohhhh dear, in going to miss my little staff card sooo much!:xmastree: :rudolf: :xmastree:0 -
