Evening ladies, have just caught up!Check this out, do we like? I am trying not spend money on unnecessary stuff but it is rather nice and not too dear...
OK, got no comments yet so am taking that as a no!!:rotfl:
Wow, just catching up.
Must be something in the air today, I've baked a loaf for the first time in ages.
Those Hobnobs sound rather tasty!
Magpye, your emergency measures sound like mine. I had a hole in a pair of black opaques last week so I coloured my leg in with eyeliner.
I have the best boyfriend in the world - he's just presented me with the boxed set of Mad Men. I missed loads as I was in India and never caught up. I think I know how I'm going to be spending the next few nights!
Your OH is so sweet!I love Mad Men too goanmad, mainly for the outfits and the hair! And I like the sense of optimism and the fact that they haven't really a care, and the fact that it doesn't take 2 incomes to pay the most basic bills, and the fact that we know what's going to happen next (e.g. JFK assassination, feminist revolution, 1968 student riots, man on the moon etc etc) and they don't. Fab! I've missed lots of episodes too but hope to catch them sometime.
Ooh all this baking chat is making me hungry. I haven't baked in so long. Me and my brother do pretty good half baked brownies though. Mmm. (We always intend to bake them full but they're so good warm and with ice cream)
Good news, I've got in to my top choice uni conditional of if I get a good reference (which i'm 90% sure I will!) I know i'll be so much happier than where I am now and the course sounds so good.Going to treat myself to Topshop tomorrow.
I want to bake too, but am off cakes and chocolate and everything for Lent (hoping to lose weight as well! WI tomorrow, ooh)
Mega congrats on getting your uni offer tsabo, that is brilliant news and well worthy of a celebratory shopping trip!
I have done so well on eBay this weekend - sold a few bits, have decent bids on a few others (including an Oasis skirt that it will kill me to part with, it is so divine but too big) and have bought some beautiful things! Vicki - I've got quite muscular thighs so city shorts make me look quite chunky in that area. I think I need to ake a friend shopping and try on lots of different styles and get her to take photos! *wonders who I can rope in to the challenge* I know what you mean about wide legged trousers, I like them cos they feel comfortable but aren't always the most flattering. I think I'll try anothe skirt tomorrow
I second the city shorts recommendation, they usually come to the knees so no thigh displayage involved!!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Well I'm exhausted
have just got home from my guides meeting, and taken some photos of things to sell, and now am trying not to fall asleep as I have too much to do before tomorrow
a whole list.
Am hoping to make time for some baking tomorrow evening before bingo.
Really need to sleep0 -
Love the top dress tara0
-
Tara I love all that stuff.
Bad girl - consider yourself scolded!0 -
Ooh lovely stuff tara
Hope you're not up too late Char - does everything on the list have to be done before tomorrow?0 -
Thank goodness I'm not on the 'no buying clothes' challenge!!! :rotfl: The pics came out darker than they were on eBay. The last one is a birdcage necklace with a little bird charm on the chain above the cage, it just looks too cute!
p.s. ladyfalco, I meant to say - sorry to hear about your camera, hope it comes back to life xoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Yeah I like the necklace, Jen, AKA Grammar Girl made one similar to that recently, it was on her blog.
Did you spend lots or was it forgivable?0
