  • Hi Giddinici!! Look forward to your blog.

GM - The journo obviously has cellulite and varicose veins and is jealous of us 'older ladies' with fab pins! Hardly a cutting edge journalist is she?

DB - heels are too midway for me. If you aren't sure, don't buy.

Other shoes? PF? I really like those, especially the pink and black ones.

MM aka LB ;) - I hope you get your car sorted asap.

Sharona - I'm not a fan of studs, sorry

MB - I find it hard to be ruthless, then i sell everything and regret selling something.

PF- earrings arrived - fab thank you!

Today I'm inblue skinny jeans, 'new' chazza New Look top, pinky red cardi and various bits of jewellery.

  • Hey ladies! hope everyone is doing well! I'm waiting patiently for the delivery guy as i've gone down around 2sizes for my jeggings and they keep falling down and theyre baggy and horrible! Thing is, my thighs aren't slim at all but I have very toned calves and lovely ankles if I say so myself! I created a blog but don't want people to see me haha!

    Morning ladies

Thought I should post as I saw goanmad's post about mini skirts (and the others) and heartily agree! It is all about what suits you and not sticking slavishly to trends or letting newspapers (was it the DM by any chance?) tell us what to wear.

Sorry I don't post much, the chat just moves toooo fast! :rotfl: And I would feel guilty not keeping up with everyone's news so hardly ever get a chance to post. But I love this thread. :)

    Today's outfit:
White skirt with grey embroidery (New Look £3)
    White cami (Topshop £5)
    White cardigan (Primark £5 yesterday)
Pale gold scarf (New Look £4)
Silver filigree dangly earrings (Accessorize £2.40)
Silver Tiffany-esque stretch bead bracelet (Oasis £1!)

I am now totally in love with Martine Wester jewellery since that Grabbit thread at the weekend, and have already bought a bracelet and set of rings on eBay and MW site (missed everything in the Nutmegs sale as OOS :( ). Does anyone else have anything of hers?

    T xoxoxo

Hey Tara, long time, no speak!!

I've just googled Martine Wester and those cocktail rings are gorgeous.
Yes, It was the DM, that bastion of Middle England.

PirateFairy - My friends and I often decry the lack of ingenuity and individuality in the "younger generation's" dress sense.
In the late 70's and early 80's when we were first into clothes there weren't many cheap high street shops (just Chelsea Girl and C&A) so unless you wanted to look like every other girl you had to learn to get inventive with the sewing machine and second-hand stuff, hence the punk and New Romantic movements. It's so refreshing to see a younger person dressed imaginatively!

Giddynici - I'm following! Welcome to the gang!
  • Thanks everyone... just about to follow you all back :) Think this may become addictive. Off out in a minute to do some charity shop scouring! And a little high st as I have a birthday present to buy.
  • have fun in the charity shops giddynici :)
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

i was very nice when she hit my car - I havent called her "dozy" to her face and have been reffering to her as "the dozy bird2 at work lol She's sent me a text saying "thanks for being so nice about everything" and her husband has asked if we can keep it out of insurance and he'll pay garage fees which i dont mind

My ex is emailing me - Not sure whether to reply or not - i know i shouldnt
