Sorry to hear about your car mommyme - as Daisy says I hope she is paying for the damage. Not the best way to start the day
Well had two people out to look at boiler. One said new pump and fan £250 but couldn't get it working. Man this morning said it was the pressure switch £110 and got it working although he said it might conk out again. Talked hubby into just letting the second man order the new pressure switch as I don't think £110 is a bad price at all to have heating and hot water. Am hoping that what he did this morning has at least cleared the blockage so it works until he fits the new part.
Am not happy as the woman I share my office with at work has been coughing and spluttering really badly since the end of last week. I woke up this morning and my throat feels like I've swallowed a packet of razor blades in the night and I feel like poo
What makes it even worse is I have the week off next week so I won't be happy if I come down with something and it ruins my weeks holiday

Morning gang!
Phew, just managed to catch up with all the gossip from last night.
Daisy - I've never been a kitten heel fan. I know they're " in" and apparently (according to the Chiropractors I used to work for) the best height of heel to maintain a good posture but they don't get my pulse racing. Mind you, if you needed our opinions it probably means you're undecided anyway.
I'm just watching Matthew Wright, apparently a certain newspaper maintains that mini skirts shouldn't be worn by women over the age of 28. Better donate my entire wardrobe back to Oxfam.
My cold is a proper stinker so no Pilates today as I think there's a jumble sale tomorrow and I need to conserve my strength for wrestling the grannies for frumpy frocks and fully fashioned cardis. I may do more reconstruction and revamping and use my time constructively.
Today's outfit:
Grey jersey jumpsuit (Originally Miss Selfridge via charity shop)
Vintage Dior money belt (Car boot)
Electro blue ankle boots (TopShop)
Deconstructed denim jacket made into a waistcoat (Jumble sale)
Usual silver jewellery (India)
Goan

PS PirateFairy - please go back to the doc's. Don't neglect your health. Like some of the other girls I've got a horror story about being fobbed off and nearly ending up disabled for the rest of my life. xxx0 -
Mommyme, horrid, again hope she will pay up quickly, fwiw its happened to me...in fact someone pulled into me when I was towing animals...and accepted blame immeadiately. I try to remember that I make mistakes too, and while it doesn't negate frustration, it helps the anger...because really not appearing angry but appearing businesslike will get her paying you quicker. ny luck she'll wan to avoid a claim and deal with it directly: for speed.
Presumably you need to get the headlights legal to drive asap...0 -
Gosh so much chat to catch up on!
MM - Hopefully your car gets sorted! I always hate when mine is off the road, don't realise how much you use it til its not there!
FairyShazza, hope your feeling better soon.
Daisy, Can I have your flapjack recipe?
LadyFalco/Daisy - I too need to be ruthless with sorting stuff for Ebay. I always sit there thinking 'oh but it is nice, but I don't wear it, but I might, one day, maybe :S)

I think I'll be 28 by the time I'm slim enough to wear one :rotfl: I do have a beautiful grey Warehouse one taunting me from my wardrobe - I've had it since I was 14 and have worn it a grand total of once. Determined to get back into it!
Ooh if you do, can we please have a "how-to" guide on the blog?0 -

Flapjack recipe for anyone who wants it
(beware, it makes tonnes!)
Sticky Chocolate Flapjacks
Ingredients:
500g oats
250g butter
250g honey
250g dark brown sugar
10 tbsp. desiccated coconut
100g dark chocolate chips
Melt the butter, honey and sugar in a pan until smooth.
Take the mixture off heat and add the oats and desiccated coconut.
Wait til the mixture cools and add the chocolate chips. Mix.
Put greaseproof paper on a baking tray and smooth the flapjack mix into a layer with the back of a spoon.
Cut into squares when it cools and hardens.0
