Ah Retro you sound like me, I had a Moby sling and loved it, I sold it when Dylan was almost 2 and was so sad to see it go. We co-slept for a long while and all end up all in bed together every morning although we are trying to stop this now. I think I am a hippy at heart too!

I dont think you need to use a hairdryer, I just find my hair goes sticky with mousse, or it used to haha.

My hairdresser uses Sebastian Whipped Creme (just add strawberries!)

    http://www.sebastianprofessional.com/en_US/products/flow/product.jsp?id=100000

cheap it certainly ain't, but a very indulgent product! It holds beautifully without the 'crispiness' of old-style mousse, either to give fabulous volume or for blow drying or scrunch drying. A lovely soft light effective product.
However, this is definitely one of my " I've reached this age and I deserve it" purchases!

Even a cheaper creamy one ( maybe test out a travel-size mini first?) will give you the results if you don't use too much. Less is more with mousse though to avoid crispy or stickyness. Smooth just a small amount between hands and disperse evenly. Work it through half dry hair and keep flipping your head upside down to get a bit of volume at the roots and keep scrunching with your hands as it dries naturally and you should get the same effect as scrunch drying with a diffuser.

Easy enough to start again if you don't like the effect anyway LOL

DB would it be worth trying a travel hairdryer? We've got a Boots one and it's very powerful, but really lightweight.

Ah! Hair........I love talking about hair!

Just got in from work, I went with the black Primark skirt with the little white hearts. It's such a flattering shape. Wore with a black vest with lace back (£4, primark again!). No-one has to know i'm wearing the same outfit friday night. ;)

Why do people think being a bar maid is glamourus?! Tonight I ripped my tights changing the fosters, it then proceeded to explode in my face when pulling through - covering my fair and hair in white foam. Cut my hand and i'm now sporting three sexy blue plasters.

Tomorrow is going to be a slob about outfit, I REALLY need to get some work done.

    Night all xx

Saw it instore in a blue-ish grey today but love the 'prawn cocktail' (as New Look are calling it) too. Would this be a bit much on someone over 30?

    xx

    this is on my wishlist!

Bronnie- travel hairdryer...now there IS a good idea. thank you. will investigate.

tsabo, i agree, i did used to love working in a bar, but the amount of clothes i managed to ruin doesn't bear thinking about!

Feelinbg really sick this morning :'( I drove past / picked up a friend on the way to work, and she bought me a hot chocolate from starbucks to say thanks, which has made me feel rather ill :S

Today's outfit is a grey / lilac / blue floral dress, bought from a Vintage shop in Seven Dials last year, which i'm wearing purely because i finally fit into it a lot better than at the time! (can't remember how much it was, but i remember really liking loads of dresses and getting a snotty look from the sales guy as if to say "you'll never fit in anything in here", so fitted and bought it as i was determined to prove him wrong!

i've worn it with grey tights, new look (they're really tatty and i coudl do with a new pair when the clothes ban is over!)
silver glitter heels, also new look (i think via ebay)
    long silver cardi, £8 primark
accessorize necklace with postcard charm of eiffel tower, £2.50 sale
blue in essence polka dot coat, white stuff sale..

about to update blog with brooches and necklaces, as well as outfit..

    I've been Money Tipped!
I feel like a slob today. I have just taken the truck in for new aerial (valentines day gift for DH) and managed to buy a wooden chopping board I saw at Christmas and we both loved (I think its our wooden wedding anniversay this year, but he can have it for Valentine's). I am wearing jeggings ...I know..again, but they are so comfortable...and a black glittery long t, a ragged black cardigan bought on sale from the gap....I love this, even though its faded to grey and not very warm, it was one of the few purchases I made myself when I was early recovering....it wasn't pink..unlike most DH bought me...or terrible clashing brights...that my mum would buy. :) Also, I wore a black/gold glittery hat pulled out of an accessorise sale bin around christmas (I think it was £1;50?), purple leather gloves (gift) and my beloved scarf of greens, gold, bronzes and purples..as worn yesterday.

    My outfit today:

Blue shirt dress with matching studded belt: Primark
    Purple sparkly tights: New Look
    Grey cardi: New Look

Not going anywhere today, my friends are going bowling which I can't do, so they are popping in for a cup of tea and some flapjack en route so I can see them :)

Plans include getting on with some work for my course and sorting out some more bits to stick on ebay. Trying to be ruthless so that when I'm doing better I can reward myself with some new clothes that fit me :)
  • some dozy lady has reversed into my car and smashed all my headlight out and done some cosmetic damage to my bonnet - i am not amused - Then whilst picking up the glass from my headlight ive cut my hand!!

    Todays shambles of an outfit:

    Trainers (lol)
    Dark Jeans (next)
    Red 3/4 Top (DP)

Same jellewellery as yesterday and a very trendy plaster on my right hand
