Have you tried calling the head office? they can sometimes check stock in all the stores centrally? some shops are really helpful, I know when my local store didn't have soemthing in my size, I called up the central line and they were able to let me know where hads the right size, and the number so i could call and get it held for me.

M&S definitely offer that sort of service (remember my fruitless hunt for the lovely brown dress? None in stock in my size in any store anywhere in the country!) so I would imagine that Debenhams would too.

Vicki - I have no clue about small children but that sounds impressive so well done Dylan :D (and you!)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've missed so much, I'm going to have to take time to read back and see what's up with you all and what you've all been wearing. :)

I've had a couple of really wretched days...I am so lucky I have a great GP...and I've been kin of glad not to have had access to MSE because I was really down and didn't really feel like chatting. As a result my skin went a bit crazy too...grrrr.

anyway, I've also had some great clothes days recently, and I've got some big stuff coming up. I have a smart occasion for which I have the outfit planed (thanks to help from here) and that's a black wrap dress, then I have a day alone and abroad in a foreign city...about which I'm dithering, followed by a ''date'' with my DH and then a casual morning. I'll be flying three days in a row, and want to just take hand luggage at least on the first couple of days. The big issue for me is what to wear on the day mooching (might do some''cultural'' tourism...and /or shopping) but have to look reasonable and, vitally be really comfy. I'm thinking of ...jeggings because jeans are a big no-no comfort wise and don't have any smart trousers. But have been wondering if they are simply too unflattering. I'll be panicking if I haven't resolved this by Wednesday! I was planning on teaming these with cowbow boots and a long tunic/jumper...but it I wear that I'll have to spend a day de bobbling....anyone know the best way to do this?

    Hope you are all well.

I'm consoling myself with the knowledge that everything will look a lot brighter in comparison. I'm in a bit of stasis now till I can see the consultant in March, so its just a month to tread water for. ;)

Oh, also I got a great day time handbag green leather and bright colours in a sale in a local shop, and havng googled for a picture have now found I got it for less than half the makers sale prices! Its this bag, but in the ''spot'' colourway :)

Hello! I'm really annoyed because I've been trying desperately to take some photos of myself and it just isn't working, I've given up!

Outfit of the day (which I love, hence the attempted photography)
black skinny jeans (LTS via CS overdyed by me)
magenta polo neck (New Look sale)
owl print tunic dress (Joe Browns)
black sheepskin ankle boots (Celtic Sheepskin Co)

    School run time already whoops!

Well I rang Debenhams and the dress is totally out of stock Nationwide :( The lady on the phone was really nice and even said "I shouldn't say this but have you tried Ebay"

I didn't tell her that was the first place I looked! ;)

So I'm just going to have to keep my eyes open and see if I can either spot that dress in any Debenhams stores which is unlikely and keep an on Ebay too. Have set up a email as soon as black Debenhams dresses get listed.

I will get it! I'm determined now :)

Lostinrates - I've missed your posts. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome from the consultant. It's horrid you have to wait so long. When are you planning to travel to? Jeggings sound a great idea. I've got some and they're great for layering purposes (although I have to wear clip-on braces to stop them falling off).

Welcome back, Glowgirl! I've missed you, too. Well done on the weight loss.

Glad you had a great time, Alexnikov, sounds like fun.

Piratefairy - Very impressed with your "no clothes buying challenge". Having been honoured to have had a peek in your wardrobe via your blog I don't think you'll be going naked any day soon with all the amazing dresses you already own.

FairyShazza - shame about the dress, I can imagine it would look wonderful on a curvy, womanly figure. Good luck in your quest. I'd love to see your photography blog, could you PM me with a link, pretty please?

Vicki - Glad the party went well and Dylan's being a good boy, he's such a sweetie in the Facebook photos!
