Hi everyone - Im back :) Have really missed my computer - Mum has a laptop but every time I tried to use it Dad moaned about me being in the way of the TV so I've only bene able to get on very briefly.

Hope everyone is well - I had a lovely restful week off but Im back at work today - dont really want to go but needs must! :)

    So today's outfit is:
'Faded' grey/black jeans with diamante trim (Bon Marche, Xmas pressie from 3 years ago off Mum)
'Two in one' type top from Tesco (its a khaki vest with a cropped white t-shirt with 'faded' khaki print) - £8, bought while I was away and I love it!
Black zip-up hoodie with furry-lined hood and pink, cream and silver print (£15, Evans sale)
White, blue and red striped socks (£5 for pack of 3, Next in Westfield Derby)
Blue Nike trainers (present from Mum from America)

No jewellery as going to work but todays perfume is Vera Wang Princess.

Have a good day everyone! xx

Afternoon all. Today is the final push at getting the house clean, tidy and small child proof ready for the morning. I also need to buy or make some cakes or biccies for the mums. I am wearing purple leggings and DH's grey skull print T-shirt.
DB - hope you are feeling a bit better today xx
I am starting my grooming ready for the party next Saturday. It will take all week to get ready, last night I waxed my arms (I am lucky to have light hair as my arm hair grows to about an inch long!!! - as odd as it can seem having no arm hair is definitely preferable lol)
I now need to highlight hair, might put some lowlights in too to break the blonde up a bit, defuzz (the usual places!), sort out nails which are in a terrible state and paint am thinking hot pink to match the print in the dress, exfoliate all over. I think one job per evening and I'll be ready.
I don't get to go out much so might as well make the effort.

Still to decide is what shoes to wear. I don't know if my black shoe boots are a bit boring. I have been lusting after some hot pink heels but not sure if I will get enough wear out of them.

Finally my thoughts have been turning to Summer a lot lately and I'm thinking about giving shorts another try. GG wears some denim ones over tights and shows that you can wear shorts with a curvy figure. I have some jeans that are really worn in the knee that I might be able to make into shorts.

Last summer I lived in 2 surfy dresses and fitflops but this year I am determined to look a little bit more stylish (although I'm not sure I can give up the Fitflops - they are so comfy!)

I seem to have waffled on for ages - maybe because I don't want to get back to the housework!!

Oh Vicki, I feel like such a tramp now, all my good grooming intentions go right out the window when the weather gets cold..
must get back in the habit!

Good luck getting ready for tomorrow, I'm supposed to be cleaning my room after re-arranging the layout yesterday, but have so far avoided it with the "studying" excuse,
and to be fair, I AM studying as I browse the internet ;)

Hi all, had a minor disaster yesterday when cleaning the kitchen bin - tipped mucky water all over myself and the kitchen floor, felt decidedly unglamorous after that!

Stripy pink/black/cerise knee length socks (local market)
    Blue jeans (La Redoute)
Grey and black tunic top (gifted)
Heavy black kohl eyeliner (my 'face the world when I really don't feel like it' makeup)

Going to have a proper pampering night tonight, nice hot shower, face mask, cuddle the cat in front of the fire.

Hi all - Glad you are feeling a bit better today DB. Don't rush it hon, these things take time.

I went to the most amazing wedding yesterday. So I am slumming it at home with a hangover. You don't need to see me today, LOL.

Magpye- pampering sounds good, I need to paint my nails so might do that later, and cuddle with the cat!

Caroline- thanks hun. I hope the hangover isn't too bad. I don't drink anymore, but I remember some killer ones!

Not enough snow for sledging despite off roaring across the top of the longmynd which scared me! Kinda glad though as this afternoon I feel all tired and drained as though I'm getting a cold :(
hope everyone has managed a nice weekend, I'm quite looking forward to another early night, although currently in the pub "watching" the football (or more accurately reading a trashy chicklit book whilst my best friend is enthralled by the men in shorts!)

Make sure you cuddle the cat first or it could get messy!

I don't drink often but it was Veuve Cliquot all the way - who could refuse?

I'm buying some new jeggings on littlewoods, I get my favourites from there, and they have 3for2 on jersey cardigans I can customize, yaay!
  • hi,

I have been advised you are the people to ask when you have a fashion issue. I bought this top in a charity shop (in true MSE style!), I love the colours but otherwise .... I was hoping just to alter it so that it doesnt gape.
