OMG Pirate Fairy! Love those!
Hope all goes ok today Daisy.
Where is the snow? We haven't got any at all.
Any today is first of February and I'm all motivated to sort my life out (I always like it when the first of the month is a Monday -I'm not all there!)
I've been to Tesco, sorted out this months budget, now need to list on ebay to add to this months budget!!!
Today I'm very casual, boyfriend jeans, white long sleeve top both New Look and I've stuck on my (charity shop) new black !!!!! bow top. No necklace because I couldn't find one to match but I'm wearing my heavy carved black bangle.
Got to keep my eye on ebay today!0 -

Hello ladies
Hope you’ve all had a good weekend? Mine has been manic so not been able to get on here at all over the weekend.
Our trip BM dress shopping was a nightmare but enlightening. Nasty lady in first shop basically made us feel like rubbish because we are both over size 14 found a dress I liked but it would work out at £340 which I am not prepared to pay (bride has given us £100 each – if we spend less we can keep the change if we spend more we have to put the extra in ourselves). Did find a dress in second bridal shop which was lovely but again it is £220
Worst of all I tried on the most perfect dress in Debenhams. Put it on and it looked AMAZING! Fell in love with it the shape and style but it was red, went to find out if we could order it in black………doesn’t come in black
I’ve never been so gutted in my whole life
Have found a dress which is similar from last season but as it’s last season it’s been in the sale and is totally out of stock on the website. None in my local store in my size (18). I’ve sent Debenhams an email to see if there is any way they can find out if any store has it in size 18 for me as I think it would be absolutely perfect (and I know the shape if fantastic on me). If anyone sees this dress in a size 18 please, please, please let me know!!!!!

Anyway today I’m wearing
* black, red and white striped top with fake shirt effect – Ethel Austin
* Black wide legged trousers – Debenhams
* Black stiletto ankle boots
If anyone wants my ebay username just drop me a PM. Am still considering a blog – I have one for my photography if anyone is interested in that. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Oh Shazza, how frustrating! And grrr at the stupid shop assistant. The woman in the bridal shop we went to was lovely which really helped as I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to proper dress shopping. They're a bit like lingerie shop assistants though aren't they? Far too fond of hoicking your boobs around :rotfl:
That black dress is very very nice, I do hope you manage to track it down. If not, have you considered ebay? I think we're going down that route as the Kelsey Rose dress, although beautiful, is so expensive. We've managed to find a very similar style on there so it might be worth you having a look.0 -
Part of my problem is that I have a funny body shape - very classically hourglass with big boobs, small waist and stupid child bearing hips so a lot of the stuff the bridal shop tried to put me in just didn't look right at all.
The dress in the second shop we went in is by Impression Bridal it was really nice and pulled my waist in really well but I don't think it was £220 nice if you know what I mean. Also it wasn't a dress I would really get any wear out of again. I probably couldn't even sell it if it was then altered to fit me because I'm short at 4ft 11" (plus the odd body shape issue).
Luckily the Debenhams dress does come up on Ebay quite a lot so it's just now hoping a size 18 will appear on there or that I get a pleasing response from Debenhams although I'm not holding my breath what with it being a sale item.
Am glad we went and looked as the wedding isn't until May so at least I'm not panicking too much! One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Have you tried calling the head office? they can sometimes check stock in all the stores centrally? some shops are really helpful, I know when my local store didn't have soemthing in my size, I called up the central line and they were able to let me know where hads the right size, and the number so i could call and get it held for me.0

Some bridal shop assistants think they are so superior! When I was looking for a dress I went in at 10am on a Monday morning, the shop assistant would only let me try on 5 dresses, despite there being no other customers (5 is the limit per appointment!) I went somewhere else in the end.0

Yes, I think if I were in that situation, that's exactly what I'd do. They do have a reputation for being high and mighty.0

Hi all, coffee morning is over!!!
I had the house SPOTLESS last night but when I came down in the morning the dust fairy (cats) had been and I had to dust again. Went well, Dylan managed to do all his wees in the potty, I was worried that having a busy house might make him regress. Made our first nappy free outing today to Aldi just for milk and biccies which went wel too. I am a very proud Mummy!
Today I'm wearing:
jeggings - £3.73 Sainsburys
slouchy oversize grey t shirt - £1 Sainsburys
Long black and grey snakeskin print cardi - £5 Tesco.
I did try a skinny black belt over the cardi but it was too big on the smallest hole (hooray!, but not because it would have looked better)
Just realised my whole outfit is < £10 - very MSE
Will bump the total up when I put my £4.50 red coat and £10 grey buckle up boots on to venture out again. Might make another hole in the belt as I was so pleased with the effect. I haven't belted OVER the cardigan before but GG makes it look so stylish I am keen to try it.
Have a lovely day everyone xxx0 -
Vicki- YAY for Dylan, he is super awesome for no accidents!
and wow that is a MSE outfit.
I've never dared add mine up
