Never posted on this thread before but have been avidly stalking you all for months now
. I am SUPER jealous of all your clothes, I live in Australia and the clothes are generally very very high quality, but very very expensive. I can't tell you how much I miss Primark. I started stalking this thread when I was planning my trip back to the UK (which took place in Nov 09) to get ideas about what was currently in the shops and plan my attack. It worked quite well, but I'm already lusting after a day in a huge Primark...
Anyway, I logged on to say GrammarGirl I'm sure this has been suggested by why not have an ebay/blog clear out and allow yourself to use the proceeds to buy new stuff? Mr GG won't be able to object to that! If you do, please can you let me know, I love your clothes and would love a chance to buy some of them!
Hi Almo! Thanks for the tip - I'm definitely doing a blog sale! I'm actually gonna sort it this weekend and hopefully do one post a week clearing out the things I don't wear so often. I've always sold lots on eBay - I hate clutter!
I've just got back from a night with a friend in Nottingham and am waiting for my first appointment with a mobile hairdresser! Anyone ever had their highlights done from home? What do you do with the hairdresser while they're developing?!!
I'm wearing:
Skinny jeans
Grey, yellow and purple graphic print jersey tunic
Yellow long sleeved top
Purple cardigan
Grey workman's boots
Mini owl necklace0 -
Am currently in town with the little sis and thought I'd say our h@m had velvet leggings £9.99 so rather annoyed I ordered the new looks lol0
-
Oh no how gutting. And that there is no H&M near me!
Now wearing:
long sleeve thermal: peacocks
rock and roll jumper dress: new look
grey cardi: new look
black tights: tesco
Seem to be having a hard day and keep bursting in to tears, not so good when working on a checkout and cant explain why your crying
0 -
Ugh, i hate days like that daisy..thankfully not had one for a while whilst at work, but it's still horrible..difficult to answer the phone without it being obvious you're crying sometimes

hope you start to feel a bit better soon!!
I'm in my pjs now despite the fact it's only 6pm on a Saturday nite! I went to the rugby last night, first game off the super league season, and sat in the directors box which was rather cool. But it was a seriously late night as after the game we got to meet the players etc as we were match sponsors..so now I'm so tired I'm planning an early night !
Today's outfit was: all saints 7 curses dress, grey tights and boots as I had to walk / cycle into town to the repair shop to get my new kickstand fitted on the bike..
Acidy green colour long shrug cardi, h&m
panda hat, and blue polka dot coat from White stuff..
I did spend quite a bit today, and have decided that in a similar challenge to GG's I'm not going to buy anymore clothes..I've challenged myself to 18 nsd's on another thread on here anywY, and a friend and I have planned a shopping trip for feb 27th anyway, which I think gives me a reasonable time to refrain from buying any clothes, shoes (!) and accessories..which will take some sticking to I think...0 -
All this talk about velvet leggings reminded me I had some lovely black crushed velvet ones from quite some time ago - so long ago I think they qualify as vintage
. I though I might have got rid of them but I had a root around, and finally discovered them rolled up in the back of a drawer. They still fit - hurrah! - so I'm wearing them right now.
Today:
black velvet leggings - no idea where from, label's fallen off
black jersey 3/4 sleeve tunic dress - needs shortening a bit (Wall)
Frye boots earlier on, big Ikea duvet slippers atm
Retro-bluebell, we've got quite a bit of snow here as well. I thought we'd seen the back of it for good!
Had a beetle roud the shops this afternoon, got some wonderful vintage material with poodles and Eiffel Towers on that will make a fab skirt, and then went for some noodles - still stuffed now, but there's room for a glass or two of wine.0 -
judgejaq- I had some amazing velvet leggings when I was a kid, that would probably fit me now if I still had them...I wish I could find a picture lol.0
-
Jaq where oh where did you find the Eiffel tower fabric???
I'm quite excited about the velvet leggings, any ideas how long new look deliveries usually take daisy?
CL, will pm you

Normally have my order within three working days...never waited longer than that!
Thanks for the nice words yesterday girls, I think lack of sleep and a tough week broke me a little

It's ok, everyone has days like that now and again but glad you're feeling a little better today

cool, it's been ages since I shopped online, but my deliveries should definitely brighten up my week at work!0 -

Hah sound like a stalker Im really not I just home in on NE-sters lol....and that fabric sound's fab!
Had a lovely evening yesterday with one of my best mates- she lives down South where I used to live and I haven't seen her in almost 6 years! Life just got in the way- anyway her husband and her cant afford to llive in Warwickshire anymore so they are up here so she was up for the weekend to house hunt- was fab seeing her just like old times feels like we have never been apart, we had a chinese an a good old chinwag while the kids all played together
Anyway yesterday I wore-
dark blue skinny jeans (Disco I think by New Look- 99p via ebay)
long sleeve white tshirt (matalan)
long purple tunic top with lady face print and tie neck (erm dunno had ages)
gold and amber huge vintage butterfly necklace
coffee bean drop earrings
long socks and my usual brown biker boots to go out in when I went to pick up DD from her grandparents (so over clumpy boots but all my other ones are suede argh lol)
usual black coat, hat, mittens etc
Went via the seafront on the way to in laws to watch the waves crashing against the pier was amazing- I always feel calm by the sea even if its choppy- get a huge sense that mother nature is a wonderful thing lol
Oh and can anyone pm me their ebay names please? As you can tell I kinda have an eBay addiction so would be lovely to have a nose at some stuff
