There are so many new people I can't keep up! I'm terrible with names so forgive me if I get mixed up with who's who... Welcome everyone new.
Update on the belt. I made another hole in the skinny belt (with pointy tweezers!) and it looks great.
Thanks for all your nice comments about the potty training - who'd have thought wee would be soooo exciting!! Had another outing to Matalan then Mothercare was out for an hour and a half and no accidents. No nappies all day first time ever hooray!!!!
Anyway I've had my moment of glory - no more toilet related posts now I promise lol!0 -
Good about the belt, vicki..and I just went for tea at a friends house, she has an 11month old, and spent most of our dinner discussing his day's nappy antics with the babys dad which kinda put me off my food
but amused me nonetheless that it seems to be the day for it..
Think I'm getting anaemic again, can't see any other explanation for such tiredness, feel ready for another early night
usually I'm a three hours a night kinda girl when it comes to sleep! 0 -

Hey, my mother still gets excited talking about potty training success now...and I'm her youngest...;) (my reusable nappies are still in use as household cleaners ...those things LAST!)
Caroline, I've finished the jumper!!! It is so much better.....and it looks like I sheared a jumper-coloured sheep in the house...its everywhere, on dog-dog, the cats....up the stairs...:rotfl:That is so much better than the de fuzzer I have in storage though, a top tip from the fashion thread!0 -
Actually Marzipan that's a good idea - there is an owl necklace on Etsy that I keep looking at. I don't normally 'do' owls, I find real ones quite odd but owl things are starting to grow on me. Hmm....
The dress is really nice fabric actually, acrylic and elastane, it's a jersey knit but more like a thin jumper than a t-shirt IYKWIM. Nice and stretchy and washes like an old rag. Should be ok to wear in summer with no polo neck too!0 -
Evening ladies. My camera is muchly frustrating me this evening (or perhaps it's just my inability to take decent photos). The self timer works but I can't prop it up to take a portrait length photo because neither end is flat so it keeps falling over! Stupid thing. Anyway, I have resorted to just photographing the flipping things on hangers instead.
New dress is here with a photo of the detailing here. I'm smitten with the buttons and the print and the pin tucking and just everything really
Plan to wear it with a little red cardi and my Christmas present IC shoes - these ones. If you cope with the terribleness of the photo, there's a pic here
And the new jumper is here. I'm thinking leggings and my buckled ankle boots might look quite nice with it (and obviously a top underneath it if I'm not be arrested for indecent exposure!) but I'm open to ideas
ps - stop tempting me with owl things!0 -
Loving the dress alex! Ana also all the owl talk, i've been looking for inspiration for cute brooches to make, so far I've exhausted birds, think I'll have a go at designing an owl pattern

Gorgeous dress and shoes Alex!
It's funny how we like certain animals and things - I love anything with butterflies on, real butterflies don't interest me at all.
I'm off to our local flea market today - not been for years so don't know what it's like, then a mystery shop. Deciding between wearing a spotty dress and a red one, deciding factor will be based on which is less creased.
Off to update my blog now I've found my camera lead.0 -
Talking of ebay I lost everything I was bidding on yesterday
