PirateFairy - Love them so much!
Hi Keys - welcome to the thread.
Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm off to drama today with little man to see what Next have in stock this season (meow!), then to do a mystery shop and post off my ebay packages.
I have decided that my wardrobe crisis, although valid, is more to do with dissatisfaction with my life in general, I'm bored. My family are the only things that are good (and they are amazing so balance it out!) I've spent a lot of money on things I wanted this month and that is a big sign with my happiness level. I have history of depression and I always spend when I'm low. Fortunately I have sold lots of stuff so haven't got myself in any trouble like I have done previously! So I'm going to have to sort my life out, LOL. So feeling much better today as I have decided what to do.
Back to usual ramblings - My hubby and little man both wear glasses. Little man has these ones http://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/childrens-glasses/scooby-2# From a fashion point of view I would steer clear but all his peers like them!0 -
Caroline, I would so wear those!
In addition, I totally empathise with the low mood/high spend correlation, I'm very much the same, having suffered from bipolar disorder for several years. It's taken a while, but I think I'm finally getting all aspects under control.0 -
Hi ladies,
I used to post in here but since being pregnant I generally look a mess so didn't want to depress myself by posting my outfitsStill a daily lurker though (& I may also stalk a few of your blogs!) & wanted to add to the glasses debate - I got them last year after having never had them before and was horrified, spent ages trying them on and came away with an Osiris (sp?) pair - and now I love them, think they really help frame a face & nobody should be embarassed or uncomfortable to wear them. OH is also a glasses wearer and I love them on him
Also - Primark have got some lovely long fit striped T's in at the moment - great for the nautical look on a budget, £2 each and 100% cotton - they're in with the 'normal' piles of tshirts in an array of colours so not easy to spotBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
keys- welcome!
caroline- I had glasses like that when I was younger (I'm silly now and dont even know where my glasses are)
gym- how long left till baby is due? I saw those tees in Primark yesterday but forgot to go back for a couple, I'll have to make another visit methinks.
argh, true to form I managed to ladder my tights after half an hourdamn, they were really nice ones as well, I'm just glad they were free and I didn't spend £10 on them myself!

Just short of 6 weeks Daisy - how scary! I'm really not sure where the times gone...once he's here I'll start posting with both of our outfits, judging by my shopping habits lately I think he'll be the better dressed one
The Primark t's are great, I bought a couple and have washed and worn them and they're looking ok, something of a miracle given my usual luck with Primark clothes!
Really sorry to hear about your friend too, hope you are coping ok and trying to look upon the future positively, I was going to post the other day but thought it a weird time to suddenly pop back up, xBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Aw, six weeks wow! I love shopping for babies, when my friend's little boy was born I think I filled an entire wardrobe for him
Thank you for your lovely words too0 -
I know, it's so dangerous! I'm so careful spending on myself but when it comes to baby, well, he already has a wardrobe full of Levi's & Ralph Lauren so he can dress like daddy
oops!
On the fashion front, I think I look ok today, so I'm going to post an outfit
Topshop Baxter black skinny jeans (£1 from the market - they're seconds as they had a big rip in the waist but my mum fixed them & they look perfect)
Long black vest from ASOS
Beige & black nautical long sleeved t from New Look
Taupe leather flat boots from DP's (got them yesterday& trying to wear them in)
& at the moment, OH's grey hoody, because it's freezing!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Ooh, now I'm off to Primark at the weekend i think :S
I saw an array of things I liked last weeek, but refrained from buying any until I had gone home and decided whatever I still wanted in a week's time I would go back for..They had a cute pair of coral rose earrings, a coral / pearl necklace and a nautical-sytle jumper which are all on my list..
See, I'm kinda curbing my shopping enthusiasm..
ETA - oh and the red shoes on jen's blog :S0
