Alex you look lovely! Try for a bit less blur next time =)
Lir - I can do the black with one colour, it's wearing colours together I struggle with, I just don't seem to have the vision or imagination. I have a few skirts with more than one colour (lilac and silver velvet panel skirt for example) and I still just wear them with black! It's my style I suppose but I see other people doing colour and I want a piece of it. Last week my friend wore a pair of purple tights with purple shoes which didn't quite match, it looked great but I would be physically incapable of that. I quite like the idea of using grey as my base colour rather than black as I think it goes with any colour but it can look dull if you're not careful.

What about teaming the skirt with one of the colours in them? :)

Alex you look lovely, and much slimmer than I imagined ( I hope that is taken as a complement,it's meant to be x)

I love seeing your jewellery storage, it's so mice to have it on display like a work of art!

Mariel - do a challenge it'll be fun, I loved GG's no jeans challenge.

Today I am wearing my Darimeya floral dress/tunic with jeggings (nice thick ones) and a long teal top underneath.
Jewellery is a pink beaded bracelet with peacock charm, navy and white bracelet and white floral bead and clear bead bracelet.

I like the links to everyone's things I find it hard to visualise things so a photo really helps. Off to see DB brace pics. I might put a hideous one of me with tops and bottoms on tomorrow to make you feel better x

Yes to fairyshazza, but that said, like Caroline i have no willpower either..which is proven by the fact i spent half my week's food budget on a sequin jacket in the tesco sale last night :( it is beautiful tho, and it is payday next week!! lol

Is it the black one, sort of blazer style? I bought one last week. I love it and I can see me wearing this for a long time.

Alex, I know it was blurred, but you look nowhere near a size 18 in that pic. Well done you on losing the weight! You look fab!

Yes, that's the one I meant, except for some reason in my head I think it's longer and more blazer-ish. It's been one of those weeks... :o I'm not very tall so it's not that short on me either. :rotfl:

Girls, what do you think about this dress:
    usc.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-USC-Site/default/Search-Show?q=fairground

For a posh/formal evening party/charity fundraiser, I was thinking of wearing black tights and black shoe boots and some funky jewellery but not sure if it's appropriate or flattering, it's quite a good price shame about the delivery charge but I still can't make my mind up.

Any thoughts or alternatives? I have got 2 dresses in my wardrobe but both pre pregnancy and a bit snug, they are spaghetti straps and would need a cover up etc so not all that moneysaving trying to squeeze into them.
    Well, i like it!

Yes that's a nice dress, sorry for not mentioning before!
Mariel, I like what LiR said about teaming the skirts with one of the colours, why not wear the lilac and silver skirt with a simple grey top and a chunky necklace in purple? Then you can still play it fairly safe, your top would be a block of plain colour, and attention would be drawn to the necklace..maybe?
