Hi girls! Thanks very much for all your comments on my commuting hell - although moving closer to the city I'm travelling to would make sense, the Mr and I just adore where we live and are surrounded by friends, so we don't really want to move! For now, it's just a part of life I shall have to put up with.

Some good news, however - my Mr just got a shiny new job! So that's all exciting and fun. Happy times. Vicki - I love the jewellery storage! It's really gorgeous. And judgejaq... how could you do that to me with the Viv Westwood shoes?! I've been wanting them for AGES and now they're half price! Eeek!

    Today I wore:

    Skinny jeans
    Floral print blouse
    Long sleeved cream tee
    Cream sequined cardigan
    Brown brogues
    Printed bangle
    Cream cocktail ring
    Knitted cream beanie hat

Judgejaq- ohhh those shoes are divine, I LOVE the colour.

loulou- that is such a pretty dress and major bargain, probs just as well they dont have my size in stock (though they might in store, hmmm)

    GG- congrats to the mister!

    Good morning,
all these links are making me want to spend (more!), I was tallying up what I've bought this week, and eek! Makeup, nail polish, a jumper, ASOS order (though that was giftcards)...oh dear.
Still have Christmas cash, hopefully will finally make it in to Bristol on Tuesday to spend it, I'm craving girly soft coloured things.

Meeting a friend for coffee later which should be fun...we take it in turns to pay and this time it's her turn :)
Also want to do some baking, never made that cake yesterday, but I don't have any butter or caster sugar and dont have the energy to carry it back from the shops so it can wait till next week.

    Wearing:
    Jeggings: New Look
    Long sleeve top: New Look
    Super short dress/top: ASOS
Black ankle boots, either flat or heels, depending how I feel when I go out: either peacocks, or dps.

    Plus coat etc.

Ohhhh tis my Grandad's birthday Sunday, and we haven't got a cake, I might HAVE to buy ingredients after all. Doh.

Tete, I love both of the dresses you posted, and the coast dress is a fab bargain well done!

Jaq, the shoes are a fab colour, I agree with daisy..

Back at work this morning, which is actually rather nice..
wearing a black and white rose floral print dress from h&m
red and white thin striped cardigan, topshop
faux pearls..(there is a vintage shop in town which sells real ones, i REALLY fancy some!)
    irregular choice underwear print heels..
burgundy velvet coat, warehouse outlet yrs ago
red and black handbag, present from my dad last week for meeting a deadline at work :D
  • Morning! Far too many links to gorgeous things in this thread it's so dangerous!

I was feeling distinctly 'bleh' this monring, feels like it should be Saturday already, I felt like I threw myself together a bit but actually, now I'm at work I think I look alright.

    - Black boots
    - Black jeans (never normally wear jeans to work but have a bit of a laundry situation)
    - Pink vest
    - Purple and white fleur de lis type patterned long empire top
    - Brown long cardi
    - accessorized with my skinny finger knitted scarf, in chunky grey wool with multi-coloured flecks.

I was umming and ahhing about what boots to wear with black jeans - I really wanted to wear my brown ones because they seem more 'jeansy' ... but I couldn't quite get past the brown and black together so ended up putting on the black ones whichI don't like as much :undecided

    Morning all :)

Vicki, love your jewellery board! I attempted something similar but with those stick on cup hooks - my necklaces must have been too heavy and they all fell off and ended up in the most horrible tangle on the floor. I've gone for the unstylish but useful option of a craft box with loads of square storage spaces inside it for my necklaces.

Well done Caroline & Mr GG :T

I've recently discovered that my camera actually does have a timer function (it's only taken me 2 years to work this out :o ) so am attempting the odd photo. The flipping thing won't stand up properly though so I'm having to prop it up with a selection of dressing table items and it's all a bit of a palaver! I might try again tonight - dunno if I'm brave enough to show myself in a photo but I'll get there one day.

Bridesmaids dress trying on session tomorrow, argh  I've lost another 10 lbs since Christmas though so I must be on the way towards a size 16 now.

    I'm wearing:

    Black tights - M&S
    Black leggings - Evans
Royal blue tunic - Dotty P's
Black & silver beaded long necklace - Tu (do I mean Tu? Sainsburys anyway!)
    Black cardi - Hawkshead
Patent leather and cream heeled brogues - New Look (I LOVE these shoes :D)

Woo, I found enough butter to make a small batch of lemon fairy cakes,
which will appease Mum's cake cravings till I feel strong enough to make her madeira. Will do a birthday cake tomorrow I think, or cheat and buy one :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm having a faial today, so am resisting makeup and dressing up. :) Its ridiculous I know, but I have rearranged some chores to avoid going out without make up on. The beautician is a new arrival at my hairdressers (its usually just the hairdresser there, very exclusive feeling!) and it will be the first time I've been there with no make up and flat shoes!

I can't promise I won't give in and make extra work for beautician by putting some mascara and a dusting of powder on (and some touche, and the some lemon aid....and as I've gone so far some blucher.....). I'm such a make up junkie :(
  • Hmmmm liking the look of ELF cosmetics, cheap, lovely colours and nice packaging.

Also thinking about experimenting with a thin belt for cardigans/dresses ,just worried it will make my hips look abnormally large and my waist small! :D
