  • Oh I so love both the fairground dress and the budgie dress, this thread is soooo dangerous sometimes!

(And thanks for the feeback on the sarees, I'm looking forward to a new girlie beautiful bedroom)

People - with my dress I posted earlier - dark brown cowboy boots or my new chestnut jumbuck boots? It's still too wintery for pretty shoes

I missed your previous post (I had wondered why I was wittering on about sarees!), but I love that cream dress.... oh good ness, sadly I know I'd look terrible in it :(. Personally I think eiher boots would work, posibly the jumbuck fo more ''now'' but I'd lean towards the cowboys, because I'm more a cowboy boot sort of gal.:o

(I wore peep toes today and yesterday:rotfl:)

Tete - did you like the Coast dress enough to buy it online?

Yes :o When I realised it was free delivery and the stores aren't doing the extra 20% off and you can get Quidco too, I had to! I do love it though :)

    What's a jumbuck boot?? :o

I adore that dress, Rainy and would wear it with beaten-up cowboy boots, a vintage denim waistcoat, piles of ethnic jewellery and a slouchy hat. I've just googled Jumbuck and am in love with the car on the website!

The print of the budgie dress is so cute and reckon it would look amazing worn over a pair of distressed denim flares and high wedges.

Vicki - the dress looks a bargain and whether or not you wear it for the do it's a great buy.

Done, If DH kicks off I can blame your bad influence!!

Oh and I ordered a lovely enamel butterfly stretchy belt too - just to make the postage worthwhile lol!

Goan, welcome back - I hope you had a great holiday x
Tete - I love the hot air balloon dress too, it's so pretty.

Loving the sound of everyone's outfits and the 80's look sounds fab LIR, I love bright make up. Tip for the lipstick I read somewhere. Once you apply your lippy, put your index finger in your mouth, close your lips and slowly pull your finger out while sucking a bit,it just gets off all the lippy that would end up on your teeth. Best do this when you're not being watched though in case you are accused of being "suggestive" lol!

DH is ''paying'' me £10 per kilo I lose so that when I'm at weight I feel content with I have some money for clothes. I lost two kilos this week. :D

    :T You're doing so well!

I think they'd both work just as well as each other. (I had to google jumbuck boots though :o ). Have you tried both on to see which you prefer?

Yay! Did you post the link to it? I can't remember if I've seen it or not. God bless Quidco eh? Office don't seem to have worked out that if you buy stuff from their site and then send it back for a refund that it still counts for cashback :D

As we're talking dresses, I think losing the weight is turning me into something of a dress fan. That's two days in a row I've worn dresses over leggings - this would have been unheard of a few months ago!

Very tempted to buy the hot air balloon dress for my mum as she loves them but I know she'd be all "I'd look like mutton dressed as lamb" (despite her being a gorgeous 59 year old with a fab size 10 figure) and never wear it :(

This is it, seems to only be available in a 6 now so looks like I got one of the last ones :)

I know what you mean, I lost a little bit of weight recently and it does wonders for your confidence, I was never massive but am confident enough to wear skinny trousers now where I wouldn't have before - plus losing weight NECESSITATES new clothes :)

I think the balloon dress is quite subtle and your mum could easily carry it off. I've been thinking about this poem quite a lot recently, and certainly want to be like that when I'm 59!!

ETA - actually, re-reading it, I'm quite a lot like that now - especially the gobbling up samples in shops bit!!

Oh that's so beautiful and striking. And what a bargain for a Coast dress!

She could definitely carry it off but I know she wouldn't think so and then she wouldn't end up wearing it. And she's not easily persuaded once she's made her mind up!

Lots of chat today I see!

Vicki, I love that dress, glad you got it! Is one of those peices that can take you from day to night and be worn in winter or summer. Therefore a must have!

Tete and L'Air love both of those dresses, have now been browsing the website for a while, must not buy anything! And that poem is fab, definately want to be one of those old ladies!

LIR love your peep toe shoes and glam everydayness! I am trying to make more use of the nicer clothes in my wardrobe that I had reserved for evening/formal occasions.

    Today I am wearing
Black knee length skirt with cream and blue floral print
blue long sleeved top, with grey tshirt over the top
    black boyfriend cardigan
    thick plaited grey waist belt
    patent black shoe boots.

Will try and update my blog a little later, am liking how more and more people have blogs now, love seeing everyones outfits :D

    Evenin all :D

Have been off again today - went into town for a mooch as I was bored and ended up buying OH a birthday pressie - £13! oops. Also bought myself an England rugby calendar for my locker at work and a CD I'd wanted for ages. So quite a successful day!

    For this outing I wore:
Dark blue Next jeans (same as i had on the other day - £7 in the online sale)
White strappy vest top (Primark Leicester, £1)
Three-quarter sleeve black cotton top (Ambrose Wilson catalogue)
Navy hoodie with yellow print (Matalan Derby, £13)
Pink and grey socks with black print (£3, BHS Leicester)
Chunky pink scarf to go out in (Xmas pressie, but from Bon Marche) also small black bowling bag (Xmas pressie from Mum)
Plus trusty white and baby blue Nike trainers.

No makeup or jewellery but perfume is CKIn2U.

Hope everyone's had a good day! xx
