Goan - keep trying with the crochet, it's well worth it!

I'm so so tired today, definitely having an early night with a book and a hottie bottle tonight! I'm feeling so dreary and unmotivated at the moment, don't know why, winter doesn't get to me the same way it does others, I love to wear lots of clothes. I've not left the house since the school run this morning and I've had a much needed quiet day.

black v neck jumper (Per Una via CS)
black jersey waterfall popper cardi (Next sale)
violet and black 3 layered skirt (me made)
    black patterned tights (Primark)
sheepskin ankle boots (my slippers, £85 from the Celtic Sheepskin Company but worth it!)

Hope everyone has a good evening x

Thanks for the well wishes ladies,
all went okay, dont have the results or anything but will soon here if there is a problem (which I doubt there will be). Only complaint is they never heat the ECG room, so I froze!
  • Hi Ladies :)

Miserable day up north and no snow! As it has been a "straight out of the car into the office then back again " day, I went for :
my lovely dark blue short denim skirt (dotty ps)
black long sleeved crew neck top (new look)
    citrus green cardigan (next)
    black stripy tights (2 pairs!)
pointy grey pumps with buckle (river island)
and my oh so beautiful bargain black fitted leather jacket that was £42 in the sale at tesco. It's one of those "I really must get this as I'll wear it for years" jackets and I sold my brown H&M leather jacket to my sister last month.

Regretting the short skirt though a bit as my office keeps going cold :D

You have my sympathy Daisy, had to have a whole raft of tests a few months ago, including bloods and an ECG, wasn't a pleasant experience. Hope they all come back ok :)

    Hi guys,

DaisyB - empathy on the braces front, had them for a few years including the nighttime headgear-with-wires contraption that Goanmad described the other night. The one saving grace was that my mum let me off wearing it when friends were staying over so no-one ever knew about it. In fact, this is the first time I've ever spoken about it to anyone, I was so ashamed of it at the time. Now it probably wouldn't bother me and I'm soooooooooooo glad I persevered with it.

Caroline - hope the interview went well.

Goanmad - you have the most fabulous and eclectic wardrobe, loving seeing your outfits on your blog.

Mad-panic-running-late outfit today of play it safe brown jumper and black trousers. Boooooooooooooooooring! Must try harder tomorrow!

    xx

Hello everyone! Hope you're all okay. I've been AWOL from this thread for a few days as I've been crazy busy with everything - work, my blog, life in general. I'm really starting to hate working so far away from home (80 mile round trip every day) as it means I get home late and never have time to do anything. Sigh!

To everyone who wore/is wearing a brace and hates/hated it - hopefully you have beautifully straight teeth and the suffering was worth it. My teeth are very slightly crooked and I hate them. When I'm rich and famous it's veneers all the way! :)

    Today I wore:

    Black skinny jeans
    Blue striped tee
    Black striped tee
    Denim shirt
    Black studded ankle boots

    Happy Wednesday!
  • Hi girls, haven't really kept up with the thread today, so hope everyone's well. Been a bit of a blah day again so have worn:

    - Black boots
    - Boring black work trousers
    - Hot pink vest
    - Green and cream patterned wrap top with bubbly type sleeves
    - Big grey cardi

Had my dressmaking class where they suggested putting on a couple of one off classes to learn how to design your own patterns (rather than make something from a shop bought pattern) so that will be exciting if it comes about. Also I noticed on the Grabbit board that the Coast dress I have been coveting has gone down to about £23 in the sale - talk about internal wrangling - pay day's not til Tuesday! They don't have my size online though so I guess it's fate if they have it in store tomorrow....

    I've been Money Tipped!

That dressmaking course sounds excellent! I'd love to learn to design my own patterns. But I find patterns hard enough when well made (TBH, cutting out gives me palpitations at times :D:o).

I use fate as a shopping companion too, it works reasonbly well, if you cn live with mild regret ocsionally, but remember to be sensible about budgeting. ;)
  • Yeah the course would be good in theory - not sure I've got the imagination to design my own stuff really though.

I have a £2 pot is needs be for the dress :o It's this one - I love it so, but, IF they have my size, will see how it looks on. Sometimes I love something from afar for ages and am almost relieved if it's unflattering when I try it on!

Oh. I was going to link to the dress, but it's disappeared from the website

Tete I hope u manage to find the dress in the store :) I love when that kind of thing happens and it's definitely fate..

GG, sorry to hear that work is getting you down, it's tough but I think that I would probably choose a job I loved that was further away than to have to settle for doing something you don't enjoy for the ease of a shorter commute, but I guess tht's very dependant on circs..

Today is another lazy gossipy morning at my friends house, then home this afternoon to do my housework I suppose..then back to work tomorrow, which is no bad thing although I have thorouhly enjoyed having a few days away..

Oh I just completely forgot my outfit post..

Grey lace draped shrug, primark (£7)
    Berry coloured opaque tights,??
Berry coloured bead necklace and bracelets, £6 each, phase eight sale
Grey thigh high flat boots, peacocks (£30)
Burgundy velvet winter coat ?? Warehouse outlet
