I'm going to rewer yesterdays ''remember the 80s'' look I think.
Edit: yes I have done. Have decided to further push my boundaries with a darker lipstick than normal. As eyes are still streaming...o just the right eye really, have gone just for a light dust of pale eyeshadow and top lashes mascara'd and Raspberry pink Dior lipstick that was a gift. I have some this season pink/blue enamel earrings from accesories, and the pink is very similar to the lipstick so have worn them, and put a faint blue line on lower lids....some might stay! Have eighties up hair little: I'm very curly so have teased my curls out a little to look more uneven (thinking perm reminisant!) and might pin at the front with bobby pins either side for some eighties lift and to show the earrings a little better.
I really just want to wer the shoes again.0 -
GG - agree with [STRIKE]Daisy[/STRIKE] Pirate Fairy (sorry have a mental block with you two for some reason!!) about the commute - if you hate your job it really has an impact on the rest of your life. Could you not move a bit closer and make OH commute a bit further (if he doesn't already)?
Forgot to set my alarm last night and when I woke up it was light, which made a nice change. I'd sort of planned what I was going to wear already though so don't look too scrubby!
- Brown ankle boots (Schuh)
- Black tights and poodle socks (both Tesco)
- White vest
- Maroon dress with tie back (Primarni via charity shop) - took a punt on a size 10 without trying it and it's a bit tight so am wearing
- Long brown cardi (H&M) over the top!
Colleague said she has the same dress when I walked in which explains why it seemed familiar, so will have to be careful about wearing it for work in future!
Hope everyone's well, nearly Friday!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Good morning,
I'm having a well deserved lazy day today after all these appointments! I might make a Lemon Madeira cake later if I can summon up the energy, but that might have to wait till tomorrow (my Mum mentioned she was craving one!)

Oversized black jersey jumper: Stolen from the clothes my brother left behind when he went back to uni
Grey marl tights: Boots

Blue and White Superdry tailored shirt (Cult)
High waisted black flared skirt (American Apparel)
Black tights
Tan Knee high boots (New Look)
Necklace made from strings of round shell and amber beads (not sure where this came from but I'd forgotten about it and I love it)
Today:
Currently black tracksuit bottoms (Gap) and a grey hooded top (Hollister)
BUT
(sssshhh I have a date later and my proposed outfit is this...)
Cream dress (Howies http://www.howies.co.uk/product.php/3118/51/ )
Black tights
white and grey striped cardie over the top for warmth (Hollister)
bronze indian style mirror dangly earings (primark) and two bronze bangles (one primark, one chazza shop)
Having a bit of a dilema about shoes at the moment, thinking flatties because of having to walk a lot
Oh Goan - I am so in love with your blog and your home looks amazing. I was inspired to buy some second hand sarees off ebay to make some individual stuff for my new flat, fingers crossed they work out nicely:beer:0 -

Hello, lovelies! Hope you're all sharing the same bright winter sunshine as us this morning.
Sharona and RainyWednesday, glad you're both enjoying my blog and thanks for your lovely comments!
Rainy, sarees are a great way of adding a touch of boho chic around the house. I'm lucky to live in the Midlands as there's a huge Asian population and a wealth of ethnic fabric and trimings widely available.
LostinRates - I love the sound of your eighties make-up and hair. I've just got back into neon bright lippie after years of lipgloss and am liking the strong look.
Alex: I remember the Dottie P number, it was beautiful.
Just updated my blog with today's outfit but in summary:
H&M high-waist blue wash organic skinny fit jeans (Chazza shop)
Office tapestry knee high boots (Chazza shop)
Warehouse navy knitted beret (Xmas pressie)
Cobalt blue frilled assymmetric hem vest (Topshop sale)
Crochet ruffled waistcoat in cobalt (River Island sale)
Black fringed Urban Outfitters necklace (Car boot)
Silver hoop earrings, bangles and rings (India)
Plans for today include yoga, eBay, a wardrobe clearout and a Greek salad for tea.
Have a good day,
Goan

Me too, I'm surprised how much I like it, its a strong daytime look, but its fun....only...how do you keep lipstick off you teeth, and why is it only a problem with dark colours????
I second the sari thing for the home too. We once had sarees from the centre of a ceiling out to the edges where they where tacked in, entirley covering ceiling and walls, like some amazing exotic tent. The people in shops are also really helpful about advising. I love women in them, beautiful bright and graceful looking....truely feminine and joyous.0 -
Girls, what do you think about this dress:
http://www.usc.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-USC-Site/default/Search-Show?q=fairground
For a posh/formal evening party/charity fundraiser, I was thinking of wearing black tights and black shoe boots and some funky jewellery but not sure if it's appropriate or flattering, it's quite a good price shame about the delivery charge but I still can't make my mind up.
Any thoughts or alternatives? I have got 2 dresses in my wardrobe but both pre pregnancy and a bit snug, they are spaghetti straps and would need a cover up etc so not all that moneysaving trying to squeeze into them.0 -
Ohhh that dress is GORGEOUS and a fab price despite the delivery lol.0
