    Hi all

Rainy Wed, glad to hear you're sounding so positive.

    Bronnie - keep posting missus!

Well I've been out for a fruitless retrace-the-steps-of-Wednesday's-walk-to-find-Mum's-lost-mobile-phone hunt. I think it must have fallen out of her pocket when we were exuberantly jumping through the snow in the park. Quite tricky to try and spot anything in blinding snow  Ah well, it was a nice sunny walk, even if it is flipping freezing.

    Outfit started off as:

    Black opaque tights - M&S
    2 pairs of socks
    Walking boots
    Jeans - Dotty P's
Long grey ribbed vest - Primark
Long sleeve teal & navy striped top - Primark

topped off with a teal knitted scarf and beret, gloves and my black duffle coat.

Stripped the jeans off when I got back in as they're covered in snow to about the knees! I may have to go and get changed though, it's not warm enough to sit round with just tights on my legs, brrrr.

Hi girls! Rainy, glad to hear you're feeling happier and I hope 2010 is YOUR year. Yay for new beginnings!

It's SO COLD here today. It got down to -8 overnight - yikes! I can't believe some places saw -21. It's just madness! No more snow as of yet but we're forecast it for today and over the weekend, so it's definitely gonna be a quiet one spent inside! :)

    Wearing:

    Skinny jeans
    Long sleeved navy striped top
Navy striped cardigan with red buttons
    Brown brogues
    Leopard print leg warmers
    Leopard print headband

    SO cold here :(
popped out and bumped in to a friend so we shared a pot of tea (little old ladies we are :p)
Clouding over with omnious looking clouds now, eek, just as well I have to stay in for the plumber...though he's not sure he'll make it round today and we cant use the dishwasher or washing machine until the pipe has been fixed!

    Hi folks

Min, Bronnie and Mrs Ryan, great to see you back. Bronnie, I know the feeling - my layers are hiding a multitude of sins!

Rainy Wednesday, that must have been a hard decision to make but sounds like it must have been the right one for you both. Here's to a new year, new start for you.

I can't believe how cold it is. The pipe outside from the bath to drain has frozen so the bath still has water in it! Last night I decided to have a bit of a run around the untouched snow in the garden (there's something quite satisfying about making the first footprints in snow) but didn't realise how deep it actually was (almost knee deep) and nearly ended up head first in it. Huge fun though. :rotfl:

I finally found one of my wellies yesterday, god only know where the other one is though.

Anyway, I'm currently vegging out on the sofa, in slobby but warm clothes, and struggling the summon the energy to go and make some soup for tea - Thai chicken noodle. Yum!

    Outfit today was
    Black Skinny jeans
Black and grey v neck top

Yum sounds nice. I'd be interested in that recipe if you're sharing.

I think my car is gone for the weekend. I parked on a hill (just) and there's no way it's coming back down in that snow! Rubbish. Hope you're all keeping warm!

Alex, they're so cosy. They were near the checkout and I just had to have them!

Iceicebaby and DaisyB, the soup recipe is the last one here:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2010/jan/02/citrus-recipes-lemon-orange-lime
    My version:
I used reduced fat coconut milk, which gives you a thinner soup and I'd recommend 1 tblspn fish sauce if you're using it, or leave it out altogether as it's pretty salty, and then add more if you want.

I didn't have any fresh ginger, so substituted a teaspoon of ready chopped ginger and used ordinary medium thread noodles as I wanted it to be more substantial.

Btw, it was really nice, just the sort of thing for this weather.
