Haven't taken any pics today :( Didnt really feel up to it this morning as I had to go real early to the docs..And, worse still, despite the fact I went to work in my boots, and then changed into my heels when I got here, I forgot to change back at lunch and had to trudge thru the snow in my heels when they guys wanted to go to the pub..

I know what you mean about photos piratefairy (where is your blog by the way? I'm sure I had it but I've lost it), it doesn't help that everyone always says I am about as unphotogenic as it is possible to get and I often don't look like 'me' on photos. I have started a photo 'blog' album on Facebook but it has been very neglected, must make more of an effort! I'm seriously considering starting a blog, not about any one thing but it would be likely to involve clothes, silly photos and some sewing and crochet stuff. I don't know, I never get enough time on the computer as it is, there's 2 laptops between 4 of us here and it isn't enough!
Had a bit of a snow-related nightmare yesterday, I left work early as I'd had the call from one daughter's school which is a 30 minute drive away (it's a specialist autism school which is why it is so far away), school closed at 1 and the minibus finally dropped her home at 5. My youngest daughter's school is in town so only a ten minute walk away so no problem there but my oldest daughter works a 20 minute drive away, left work at 4.30 and walked in at 8.30, the roads were gridlocked. I was SO relieved once they were all home! I haven't let any of them go out today except to build a snowman.

I'm wearing really slobby clothes today

Killah black cord flares which were so low cut I had to sew elastic on the top, they look the same as long as I cover the elastic bit, just fit a lot better (CS)
pink and black Viyella t-shirt (CS)
big dark green Less than Jake hoody (me made from a Fruit of the Loom hoody and a LTJ t-shirt)
    stripy snuggle socks (present)
purple crocs (cos my slippers have finally given up the ghost)

I'm going out tonight so might pop in later with a less slobby outfit!

RE - photos. I hate the taking photos part of my blog. I get my OH to do it which helps but I find it so awkward, especially if I decide to go outside! I also struggle with the quality as I do most of my shots in my flat at 7pm after work. I think come summer it'll be easier, though.

Anyway, the more photos I take the easier it gets. I want to buy a posh camera and a tripod to really improve the quality, and I want to get more creative with my locations/poses! :)

I only started my blog in October and I just love, love, LOVE it. It's such a great project and I would recommend it to everyone.

Mariel, have you seen Goanmad's blog? Hers sounds similar to what you're thinking of - lots on her sewing projects and car boot finds with outfit posts and around the home stuff as well. It's one of my favourites - http://vintagevixon.blogspot.com/

GG you look so lovely in all your photos!
I do check Goanmad's blog, I would love to do something so interesting, doubt mine would come close but I guess nothing ventured nothing gained and it wouldn't have to be updated every day.

I got changed to go out tonight, I thought I'd dressed for warmth and comfort today wearing cords and a hoody but I was genuinely much much warmer and more glamorous tonight wearing -
    ruched leggings (Primark)
black hanky-hem skirt (Per Una via M+S outlet years ago) under
apple green and black bold patterned skirt (Phase Eight outlet)
black off-shoulder top (CS modified by me)
black tie-waist cardi (me made from an ill fitting jumper)
black and multi spot wellies (New Look)
    socks and black legwarmers (Primark)
Faux fur hooded jacket (Next via second hand stall)

Oldest daughter back in work tomorrow, younger two have another snow day YAYYYYYY!!!!!!! x

I hope your determination is paying off Piratefairy, your outfit sounds lovely :)

I woke up feeling really nauseous, so have spent much of the morning sipping tea and waiting for an anti emetic to kick in.
Going to venture out later on a soup hunt, as I haven't got even basic ingredients to make my own, and it's all I feel like eating. Hope the fresh air will freeze away any remaining sicky-ness.

    Wearing:
    Black 3/4 sleeve top: Matalan
Black/Brown/Grey striped chunky knitted 1/2 sleeve jumper: Wallis, via Mum who is fed up on my moaning none of my clothes are warm enough :p
Boring sheer nude tights: Tesco value (suprisingly brilliant)
    Lightwash bootcut jeans: River Island
    Thick socks: ... cant remember

Will add wellies, scarf, hat, gloves, cardi and coat when I go out. Sun is very bright, no more snow clouds around, though I guess that doesn't mean we wont get any more!
