happy new year to all, and hope everyone enjoyed a lovely xmas break :) been a bit quiet over here due to no internet at home, and only minimal visits to work over the hols..but am catching up my blog with some of my best outfits, and my new xmas/sale shoes!!
today is back to work, and my outfit is my lovely blue tulip skirt, from matalan, with a black and white striped top (present from dad shopping trip!) and black glitter heels, tights and cardi..

People always say I'm dressed up when I'm just comfy, I suppose skirts are considered dressy and I have some really nice skirts!
Back to school for the girls tomorrow so I've spent the day getting things ready, taking the decorations down and generally de-Christmassing the place!

black skinnies (Long Tall Sally via CS)
grey and black striped long sleeved top (Tesco)
Black short sleeved (were long but I chopped them off!) tunic dress with cowl neck (Asda)
huge black cardi to keep me warm inside (Primark)

Have a good evening everyone! x

Totally agree with you there, Mariel, I get that too..I never wear jeans or trousers, as I don't like them, and therefore my idea of weekend casual usually involves a strapless or halterneck dress, or a 50s circle skirt..Which means I often get told i'm overdressed, but it's what i like..i love my wardrobes full of clothes, and hate the thought of having all these pretty things and "saving them for a special occasion" in favour of wearing scruffy (IMO as that's how they make me feel) jeans..

Piratefairy, nice to see you back.
GrammarGirl, that must have been a bit of a shock, to say the least.
DaisyB, hope the appointment went ok today.

Well, it's good to see everyone all present and correct and recovered from New Year. Hope you all had a fab time, whatever you did. I'm quite relieved it's over now to be honest - I feel very sluggish after all the rich food and drink over Xmas, not to mention the ice-cream cake my husband got for my birthday - I could have honestly fallen face first into that!

Back to work for me on Wednesday, so still in lazy clothes - it's flipping freezing here and we still have fairly thick snow lying. How lucky is Goanmad to miss all this?

    Anyway, currently wearing:

Black heavy cotton dress (Wall sale a couple of years ago)
    black leggings (Tesco)
purple slouchy ski socks (TK Maxx)
huuuuge thick ribbed long belted black cardigan (Autograph, again old). It's more like a coat but it is horrendously cold here. I've got it belted at the back and I keep sitting on the knot, which is seriously uncomfortable when it happens! :rotfl:

I always end up sitting on knots! Haha!

I'm so envious of goan, I was thinking about her the other day!

Appt didn't quite go to plan, ugh, back on fortnightly AND fortnightly bloods on the opposite week :(

    Oh daisy, how rubbish *hugs*

I've actually got dressed today, hurrah! I don't expect it will continue this way for the rest of the week as I'm off work all week and would rather stay in bed in my pj's!

    Today's outfit was:

    Green slouchy long jumper
    Grey ribbed vest
    Jeans
    Hippo print Vans
    Grey fair isle armwarmers
    Black duffle jacket

Rubbish news about the docs, Daisy. Hi to everyone and hope you're all surviving the horrible weather! I'm just sick of it now - bring on summer!

For the first day back at work I really couldn't be bothered so wore:

    Skinnies
    Grey tee
    Grey wool cardigan
    Brown belt
    Brown boots

At least the first day is over and done with! :)

    Thanks girls :o

We're due "disruptive" snow tomorrow afternoon. Ugh. And what snow in the UK *isn't* disruptive?!
