Hey everyone,

Pyjamas (black/white/pink check bottoms and black long sleeve top with diamante buttons), Asda via Santa
Horrid pink dressing gown that makes me look like a marshmallow, BHS via Santa 5yr ago
Blue/White slipper socks with penguins, ? via Santa
Daisybella everytime I read your posts I keep saying 'DOH! I forgot to buy a thermal vest!!!!' Must get one...And I LOVE that dress on your blog from yesterday x
Me and OH speaking but really just texts to sort out our plans later... grr, thanks for all the comments, I can handle a dry sense of humour but he goes way too far. Also not in the mood for going out, we're going to a club in Leeds with 2 friends and staying at their house (which has broken central heating and is always smoky). Also the club is open til 9am, the friends are quite hardcore clubbers but I want to be back by about 1am! Guess we'll see. I just don't want to get really tired, have to spend the weekend catching up on sleep and then start a new job on Monday (working in a nursery) not feeling rested.
Anyway will be going over to Leeds in
Long sleeved black tshirt, Primark
Blue shirt with tiny white flower outlines all over (can't think of that see through materials name!!), Primark
Black skinny jeans, River Island
Lots of socks
Black slip on ballet pumps, Primark (only for the car)
And tonight I'll wear
Black glittery dress with elasticated waist, Asda sale last week
Black vest top, Primark
Purple tights, Asda
Black mary jane (?) patent heels, Dorothy Perkins
Some jewellery (don't know what yet)
Have a good NYE everyone, I'm quite envious of all you staying in in the warmth!!!

Oh the shame, I'm still in my comfy dressing gown (Missoni via TK Maxx) as I've been in the shower, and then sat and watched Sex in the City the movie.
It's snowed again here, not a huge amount, maybe an inch or so, and it's absolutely freezing. I don't really feel inclined to go out but needs must - we've just finished off the last of the bread, eggs and milk, I've ran out of green tea and we need potatoes for tomorrow's lunch. What an exciting life I lead!
Mariel, love the sound of the velvet skirt.
GG, you stay put - you'll probably have a better night in anyway!
Littlestar, hope you're feeling a bit better today
DaisyB, that sounds like a good night you've got planned, you just indulge yourself.
MrsR, have a great night out and have a fab New Year.
Off to a friend's tonight - I originally intended wearing my vintage maxi dress I bought on ebay but going to keep that for my birthday on Sunday and just wear jeans instead - £1 bargain from Littlewoods that was on the Grabbit board here. So tonight I'll have a bit of a 70s look going on and be wearing:
black kick flare jeans (Littlewoods)
black tshirt with retro looking Pineapple glittery dance logo (Debenhams sale I think, had it a few years tho)
black silk velvet blazer (M&S, pretty old, bought in sale)
black fishnet knee highs
tan leather & snake effect ankle strap heels (Shelleys)
bag will be Henry Holland for Debenhams magazine clutch (bought on ebay for a couple of pounds, not in shops yet)
perfume, probably Diptyque Tam Dao
jewellry, Tatty Devine @ New Look weather charm bracelet, Tudor watch, orange enamel pendant on hard wire choker, Biba perspex chunky ring.
If I'm not on later, have a lovely evening, whatever you're all doing, and here's to a very happy New Year x0 -
Teabythesea, I am a jeggings addict too!
LIR - Yes if I'm honest my weight gain was probably down to the beverages rather than food too!
I know it's a bit of a strange question given that it is about +1 degree here but while dreaming about the summer it suddenly hit me that while I am now happy with my Autumn/winter/Spring wear (all pretty interchangable with the layering and cardis) What am I going to do about Summer - as in the 2 weeks when it is hot, and the holiday to Turkey in May!!!
Problems - I'm loving the tunic tops and dresses and skinny jeans/leggings/tights but wonder how I can translate this. I can't wear the tunic tops or dresses with bare legs, they are too short.
Grammargirl, I'm looking to you for ideas as you have a similar shape to me.0 -

Hello
Am a very long-time lurker on this thread and I love it. I should probably post!
But I just wanted to butt in if you don't mind to ask Daisybella about the necklace as quoted above. DB - I don't suppose I could request a pic of it please? Either here or on your blog if you are so inclinedIt's just I have an obsession with penguins and the necklace sounds lovely (my birthday in Feb!). If you know where it came from I'd be over the moon.
Thank you!
And have a Happy New Year fashionistas, I have stocked up on champagne (£11.99 Sainsburys) and nice food and it will be just me, OH and a close friend eating and drinking our way to 2010!Proud to be a moneysaver0 -
