Fashion chat- Dressed up or down??? All welcome!!

I've been up since 5am, ugh. My brother's drunk gf decided that as he wasn't answering his mobile, she'd ring the house phone anyway, after a delightful chat with her (never spoken to her before!) I couldn't get back to sleep, and had to be up early-ish as brother is on way back to uni today.

Wearing:
3/4 sleeve black long sleeve top- Matalan
Vintage 80s floral t-shirt dress- Covert Candy Vintage
Black thermal tights- Tesco
Black over knee flat boots- Asos, xmas present

Lots of repetition going on in my wardrobe lately, I'm too tired to care!

I've not posted for ages!

New Look Bootleg blue jeans, Next grey gypsy style top, pink stripey socks (not my choice, Christmas Present, but they are Paul Smith ones so inoring the fact they don't match, I'll wear boots if I go out). Usual jewellery - wedding and engagement rings (white gold and diamond)and Links Sweetie watch. Also a silver bangle.

Hoping all my new sale purchases come today got a lot of fab stuff on the way!

Morning all, on the Eve of New Years Eve!

Not getting dressed today, had an argument with the OH last night (over the phone) and I hung up and we haven't spoke since. Just feel like eating chocolate and watching tear inducing TV today, so that's what I'm going to do.

So am wearing
Pyjamas (black/white/pink check bottoms and black long sleeve top with diamante buttons), Asda via Santa
Horrid pink dressing gown that makes me look like a marshmallow, BHS via Santa 5yr ago
Black/White striped slipper socks, ? via Santa

Yesterday though I wore
Blue bootcur jeans - New Look and YEARS old
brown cat boots - again YEARS old (worn due to snow)
Cream long sleeve ribbed top (DP's)
Cream long length wrap round cardie (DP's)
Pink Christmas socks
Silver Tissot watch
Silver hoop earrings
Silver necklace with heart pendant on.

Lots if SNOW here in wales yesteday which meant the clothes had to be practical rather than stylish!

Hey teabythesea welcome to the thread, I just noticed you're the same age as me and live very close to where I do, how strange! Your nautical outfit sounds fab, at the moment I'm in mourning over a gorgeous nautical top we had here at work (I work for an online company that sells end of line/excess stock items and second hand stuff) that sold before I had a chance to buy it! It sold about 2 weeks ago and I'm still upset!

Today I am wearing:
- Black ruched leggings - £5.99 H&M
- Black long sleeved top - free from work, the brand is INC, American I think...
- Black and white fine check print tulip dress with cowl neck - £13 Primark
- Brown studded ankle boots from Faith
- Grey studded shoulders blazer (again! I love it) - £15 Primark

I always forget to mention jewellry, but I'm usually quite minimal, except I always wear a small silver heart on a silver chain, was a present from my boyfriend.

Anyway, back to work now, I have so much to get done, I should have booked this week off instead of last as barely any one is in! Grrr

I hope its reparable. Emotions tend to run high this time of year and people are torn between partners/family/friends all making demands on them. Plus their own needs (my DH has just needed to sleep and its been quite hard to let him at times :o). Take it easy.

Having a day at home today so not very glamourous I'm afraid!

Its still so cold out and snow still on the ground here. Want to go to the sales but I am skint.

I got dressed eventually today, just comfy as I wasn't going anywhere

purple/black graded spun velvet skirt (me made)
black top (self made from 2 old Primark £2 tops)
warm and stretchy black shrug (Principles via CS)
black diamond opaques (Primark)
stripy fluffy bedsocks

I did a couple of alterations today - took in a top I bought from Etsy as it was lovely but too big and took a couple of panels out of a grey and lilac velvet skirt I made and added a small frill at the bottom so that's 2 things I couldn't wear but now can I seem to be going through a velvet phase at the moment, it's my comfort fabric. I wish I could put colour with velvet though, I always wear it with black which I think looks a bit goth which I try and avoid as it is my default.

I had gone shopping for some slightly classier flat boots but cannot find any - nor could I find any pretty underwear in my size (thinking a boob job may be required just to get underwear!!!) so any ideas peeps?
However bought a lovely silvery grey slightly fishtailed long dress for £2.50, not sure when I will wear it but just loved the shape.
