Hey all, hope everyone had a good Christmas and got some bargains in the sales.
I went to the sales yesterday but after going a little mad in Primark I told my boyfriend to not allow me into any other clothes shops!
Anyway, today I am wearing mostly Primark after my spree yesterday:
- Beige 3/4 sleeved bib front top - Asos but was free from work
- Black sleeveless low cut pinafore style dress - £9 Primark
- Grey studded shoulders blazer - £15 Primark
- Thick black waist belt - £3 Primark
- Black t-bar kitten heel shoes - bought from Asos about a year ago, about £25 I think0 -
Ooooh, the grey blazer sounds lovely! I'm not allowed to buy any more clothes after my sales spree yesterday, but I might just nip into Primark on my lunch break...
I'm back at work today (rubbish!) but just until 5.30 then am off again until 4th Jan. So not too bad really. It's very quiet here and no one seems to be working so I don't feel too bad coming on here!
I'm wearing:
New skinny jeans (H&M)
New long sleeved navy and white striped tee (Gap)
Newish navy knitted jumper (TU)
Black suede studded ankle boots
Links of London Sweetie bracelet
Just waiting for my ASOS boots to arrive... eeek!!0 -
I feel incredible down today and I'm not sure why,
so my outfit is super slouchy and comfortable in the hopes that helps.
Baggy grey jumper: Topshop
Cream thermal under it: Peacocks
Denim boy fit shorts: New Look
Black thermal tights: Tesco
Hope everyone has a fab day.0 -
Hi DaisyB, sorry to hear you're so down - this grey and gloomy weather can't be helping much either. Might a spoil yourself session help, a little reatil therapy perhaps? Or just treat yourself to something inexpensive but unnecessary, like a bunch of flowers, something like freesias that'll scent the room, or a tiny box of very posh chocs.
I have to say, the outfit sounds totally comfy. I have to confess I'm having a lazy day too. I've been out the last couple of days - spent a couple of hours yesterday at the Baltic gallery, then had a bit shop and ate out, but today it's really cold and I just fancied the comfort of my own sofa.
Anyway, I'm sporting my typical loungy around wear:
Manuka faded black yoga pants, cut off just below the knee (TK Maxx)
old lilac short Uggs (Schuh sale a few years back)
baggy charcoal grey boyfriend sweater (H&M)
GrammarGirl, it doesn't feel right being back at work yet, does it. I was in on Boxing Day, which was very quiet, off for another week but back in Saturday.0 -
Hope the comfy clothes do work =0)
I'm dressing for warmth today, the weather is vile!

red/black/silver star necklace (therealiolithie on Etsy)
purple suede M+S slippers (M+S outlet)
tea about to burn, see you later!0 -

I got it almost right yesterday evening: its annoying when you are lmost feeling great!
The top was the problemI wore a black vest, grey cardigan then a black cardigan (I'm freeing ATM) and couldn't find anything the right olour/length...everything felt too long...with a damson ankle length velvet skirt, brown boots, occasional flash of maroon and gold knee socks, better than blak opaques I thought. edding and engagement rind, and new gold cocktail ring, my normal bracelets plus a large damson-y shell bracelet, and pinkish sparly earings. What I think I needed was a brown toned top, and much warmer! I use to wear this skirt with a turquise jumper which also worked well, but the juper got bleach on it (note this is how I ruined a black dress earlier on this thread, and a coral top I haven't posted about....its a bit of a theme of damage for me!).
Feelig in a bi of a clothing vacuum ATM, nd busy, hence not posting much, but I'm hoping to get back on trck soon...making an effort with appearance is reminding me to make an effort with life, and I'm missing it this week....0 -

OK, I'm back and dressed! Pink elbow length sleeve jumper, beige knitted skirt (so far so good). Let own by grey tights (I think brwn would be better) and thn I have a shoe dilemma. I will probably end up wearing some grey pointy flats because they ar flat and should be more comfortable. But, despite being half a size too big they feel a size too small (bought unseen). I'm hoping they will give to be just ''a bit tight'' not like foot binding...I bought some purple flats for £10 at Tesco last night, but they are suede, and todays weather makes me think foot binding is referable to suede shoes!
I have a distinct lack of flats ATM, but the weather/ice rain and my limited mobility are making me wary of risking heels when the footing is less than ideal. I'm toying with weaing some uncomfortbale but the riht size purle and grey Betty Jackson heeled shoe/boots ...just ify about the heels.
I'm only errand running, my guess is foot binding will win.
Have a good day gals!0
