            Afternoon all!
Sorry I've been MIA all weekend, catching up with friends and doing far too much boozing. Not much snow here, it's ridiculous watching the news and seeing the whole country fall into chaos yet again.
Lostinrates - I've had ringworm. I wouldn't blame you for just mummyfying yourself and sharing the bed with whoever you wish to.
Popped round to my parents' house yesterday to discover my poor 80 year old Dad in tears - his beloved cat keeled over and died after no illness or any problem at all. The beautiful girl was only 10 and because he's become profoundly deaf the only creature he comunicate with freely. What a miserable Xmas he's going to have. Hope my three are going to behave and give him extra fuss when he's on cat-sitting duty next week.
 Today's outfit:
 Vintage needlecord maxi (Charity shop)
 TopShop boyfriend cardi (Car boot)
Black Topshop ribbed vest (Car boot)
 Silver tribal jewellery (India)
 Leaf shaped silver earrings (Accesorize)
 Thigh-high Aran socks (Jumble sale)
 Keep warm!
 Goan

Hey all, hope you're all warm and snuggly! This cold still hasn't gone, I made an app with the doctor tonight at 5, called up the taxi man to get here half hour before as even though it's only 5 mins away it's the beginning of rush hour, plus the snow etc. HE DIDN'T EVEN TURN UP! Tried to call but no answer, what a scumbag. So I had to cancel my appointment and have had to rebook for Weds. I didn't even get a phonecall!
 Anyway, I'm wearing today:
 Green turtleneck jumper - Hennes
 Black jeans - topshop
 Fluffy slippers - La Senza!
I hope this snow stops now, a few days is fun but I've had enough now!
Will catch up with the thread later!Foreign politicians often zing stereotypical tunes, mayday, mayday, Venezuela, neck

Goanmad, that is so desperately sad. I hope your dad is ok and that your cats take care of him 0 0

 Really like it tho...
I quite like it. and actually think its probably pretty versitile. I'm not so keen n the shoulders, I know they are fashionable, but to me they look like the jacket still has a hanger in it...:o
But the rest of it is nice: how well does it fit? I think the key to this very exact sort of tailoring is that it fits as if tailored to you...if it does you'll where it better than anyone else, if it doesn't is when it risks looking like you are ''everyone and their mum''.
 Did you try it on?0

            Aw, thanks girls.....
Don't really know what to say or do as I know how devastated I was when two of my cats died. At least she didn't suffer (apparently it must have been a heart defect she was born with) and he didn't have to make the heartbreaking decision of having to take her to be put to sleep. She looked beautiful and peaceful snuggled up in her favourite blanket.
Changing the subject to a more cheerful and frivolous one: Piratefairy, the jacket is pretty and I can see you in it but would you get much wear from a cream jacket? It would need cleaning after each wear if it belonged to me (which would only add to the expense). With it being a "On-trend" high street item you either run the risk of the world and his missus wearing it or it being reduced to £5 after Xmas. As you're hesitating maybe you should wait and see if it gets reduced further.0

Evening girls. Thanks for all your good wishes - so kind of you.
Really sad to hear of your dad's cat, Goan, and your illness, LiR. Hope things are more cheerful for both of you soon.
Well, we had a bit more snow last night but not enough to keep me off work (boo), so I trudged in. I'm so dressed for warmth rather than style today, but still...
 Black skinnies
Black and white striped polo neck
Blue knitted jumper with gold buttons
 Black leather boots
 Big gold bird ring
Pictures on my blog in a mo. Hope the rest of you are doing okay and looking forward to Christmas - only 4 sleeps! 0 0

            Hi girlies!
Gosh! So much to catch up on.
GG. Big congrats to you both!! Lovely happy news.:T
lir....poor you! As far as I'm concerned "in sickness and in health" covers ringworm too .....both of you tuck your jim jams into your socks and keep cuddling!
goan........aww! We're thinking about our first Xmas without my moggy Daisy (who joined our family at Christmas). Your poor dad. Will they get another cat do you think? Our little boy cat has actually blossomed since Daisy was PTS. Unintentionally, he was probably a little marginalised before. He is quite hilarious; inspired by a youtube vid, DD has been training him and has a repetoire of little tricks now (sit, shake hands, lie down , roll over!) What a star! That's just his amenable little personality though. We'd never have considered trying to'train' Daisy. Ha! The indignity! (for us not her!!)
A cheery :hello: to the new posters.
Been to Sainsbury's on way home from work tonight. My black flecked cardi/coat was reduced to half-price (£15 now). Don't mind though, cos I've worn it a lot!
The Oasis beret saga (cont)........although Oasis emailed me to say this was out-of-stock, it continued to be shown as available on the website. I ordered it again, still half price and using the free delivery code again. At long last, they have confirmed the order tonight and it's dispatched:T
Casually showed it to DD at weekend and she loves it, but she also loves Peruvian-style one from River Island brightly coloured stripes with massive pom-poms, so popping into town to collect her Soap and Glory hatbox from Boots tomorrow and will treat her to the bobble hat too if it's already reduced instore as it's half-price now online in the sale.
She's a chilly soul, so will be glad to get her into hats this winter!! One for work and one for play!
Love to read your daily chat

PS And the shortest day is now over. So the nights will start drawing out. YAY!! That's definitely worth raising a glass to!0

Hello Bron! Great news about the little boy cat. Cats are so adorable and make a house feel like a home. I'm sure a homeless mog will make an appearance at Mum and Dad's doorstep eventually - that's what always seems to have happened over the years.
 Great news about the beret!
I'm off with a pal for the last chazzing day of the decade. She's broken up from work so we're off to a random town to see if there's any bargains worth snaffling plus lunch in Wetherspoons!
 Today's outfit:
Acid wash high waist skinny jeans (market)
Purple puddy-cat bow blouse (car boot)
Long sleeved skinny black top (car boot)
Elbow length purple and grey striped fingerless gloves (pressie)
Vintage grey high heeled wellies (lined with faux fur) (Chazza shop)
Vintage "Wetherall of Bond Street" purple wool military cape (Chazza shop)
Brass and wood bangles, huge gold hoops, gold and wood costume rings
Blue and taupe patent oversized bag (pressie)
Vintage grey wool peaked cap (Chazza shop)
Have a lovely day all! I'll check back later to make sure everyone's fine and dandy!
