I'm stressing out - made my last trip to the shops (or so I thought) after work tonight only to discover I've forgotten ONE BLIMMIN PRESENT!!! So I'll have to go back tomorrow and get it. Good grief.0

We escape much of the worst of the weather in our lttle peninsula here, but the weather this morning is ominous. The most oppressive, leaden, low grey sky, hail showers and bizarrely, loud rumbling thunder all morning.

All explained! A rarely-occurrring weather phenomenon known as thundersnow! Never ever heard of it or seen it before!

HiyaWhat's spray wax? Don't think I've seen it before, and it sounds like something I would be interested in. I had my hair cut into a very choppy/layered short bob a couple of weeks ago, and have been styling it with lots of flicks - well I say style, I find that turning my head upside down, dumping some mousse on it, then pulling it all forward a la La Roux, then shaking it back and blow drying it, makes it nice and big and flicky looking. Technical terms of course
I think spray wax would work well with it. Not that there was much hairdrying going on this morning - the damn dryer caught fire, so OH has been dispatched for a new one!:eek::eek:
Afternoon everyone :wave::wave::wave:
I am really fed up with the snow now, as it means wearing my sensible (even if they are pink) hiking boots, can't even wear my favourite ballerina type pumps...hmmmph...at least we're not going anywhere on Christmas Day so I can stick 5 inch heels on and totter around cooking the turkey if I want to
Today I is mostly wearing...
Black tunic from Tesco
Black wide leg trousers from Simply Be (have gone down a dress size recently and these are too big, but I thought they would help disguise the great big non dainty boots )
Black socks from Sainsburys
Those blasted boots from Cotton Traders
Black swing coat from Tesco
Petrol blue pashmina from eBay
Turquoise Blue Wahoo fingerless gloves
So have we all got our Christmas outfits planned? I haveDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

Black high heeled brogues
Black butterfly headband covered in sequins!

Hello All!
Hope you're all okay. Just back from a precarious walk down the hill into town to sort my holiday cash.
Yesterday's chazzing mission was a great success - lots of fab bargains to be had and all in a cheerful stress-free environment. (Purchases on yesterday's and today's blog with more added tomorrow). So bloomin' cold, tho'. At least it feels a tad warmer today.
Off for our gang's Xmas get together later, not sure whether I'll make it into town in my usual 6inch heels, I'll walk down in something sensible and change shoes when I get there.
Today's outfit:
Warehouse black hareems (eBay)
Black skinny top (Car boot)
Fendi belt (Chazza shop)
Silver tribal jewellery (India)
Urban Outfitters silver and grey slouchy hat (Chazza shop)
Urban Outfitters silver bell pendant (Chazza shop)
Tweed lace-up waistcoat (Chazza shop)
Enjoy the rest of your day!

I'm very pleased with today's outfit - I was aiming for 'comfy yet fairly tidy day before Xmas Eve' and ended up with 'witch' but hey, it's really me and I like it!
black polo neck (CS)
purple jersey dress I'd forgotten about (CS)
star patterned fishnets worn over purple tights
long faux suede boots (Primark)
resin pendant with hearts and wings (Etsy)
black cardi/coat (me made)
black/multi crocheted slouchy beret with butterfly pin (hat me made, pin craft fair)
very cold feet (weather)!
enjoy your evening everyone! x0 -
Hey girlies!
Hope you're all ok and feeling well! Am catching up with the thread, so sorry if there's a little randomness in the following!
Lostinrates, thanks so much for your whisky advice, I feel much better, just got a horrible sore throat now but the doctor says it's not an infection so just have to take lozenges etc. Oh well! Sorry to hear about the ringworm too, hope it clears up soon, and don't worry, I'm a magpie when it comes to picking up things too so you're not alone there. Hope you get some news on the mole too... what awful timing for you!
Daisybella, glad you loved the dress in the end!
Goanmad, had a lovely weekend away thanks! It was freezing but I braved the cold for a few meals out, and I'm feeling much better now. Sorry to hear about your dad's cat, we had to have our cat put down as he had bowel cancer, so if there's any good (not that there is any iykwim) that can come out of the situation at least he didn't have to make that desicion. We didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to our kitty.
Welcome to Jadek and littlestar!
Congrats to grammargirl on your engagement! And can I have a look at your blog, it sounds awesome!
Alex, how AWESOME are IC shoes? I have way too many pairs but they are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn. I even wear them to work, and I never wear heels to work! Checked out their sale in MK and there wasn't much there, I'm up in the West End tomorrow so will see what they've got.
So todays outfit:
• Black long cardi (Primark)
• Camera T-shirt (Khao San Rd market in Bangkok)
• Black vest top (Peacocks)
• Moto jeans (Topshop)
• Sugar boots (Qube)
Also... some advice needed. I'm going to a family do on Tuesday - don't ask, it's a stupid day to hold a party, I know - and have no idea what to wear. There's going to be all family and a few friends, including my almost-was-an-ex too (it's a long story, I'll explain if I ever get time) so I need something casual-ish yet amazing looking. Not much to ask I know! What would you wear in a similar situation?
Right, off to make hobnobs! Have a good evening girlies!
