LIR, sorry to hear you're still not feeling as fabulous as you should be. I hope you manage to find a solution that allows you to control your weight and enjoy an active life... sounds like a complex situation. Sending positive thoughts your way!
Today I'm channelling Betty Draper (from Mad Men, anyone watch that? I love it!) and am wearing:
Red and cream button-through dress with nipped in waist and flared skirt (£18, ASOS sale)
Grey leopard print cardi
Grey suede waist belt over the top
White bobby socks
Grey pilmsols (£10, New Look)
Nameplate necklace
A flick of black liner
Going to a gig tonight straight from work so am more dressed up than normal and my dress is a touch short! Whoops!0 -
GrammarGirl that outfit sounds lovely! I'm a big Mad Men fan too but I'm not brave enough to try and dress like that0

Oh you should! It's really not that daring an outfit, the shapes are very simple. You could make it a bit more classic (I'm aware grey leopard print and red isn't the most conventional of colour combinations!) by finding this 50s dress shape (nipped in waist, flared skirt, halterneck neckline) and team with pumps and a cardi, with a nice leather waist belt over the top. That's the basis of the outfit - it can be any colour combination you feel most comfortable with. I like mustard yellow and purple, green and purple, floral prints with anything, red and navy... whatever you like!0 -
hi everyone!!!
Havent been on for a while, Im on day 4 off work today and - shock horror - BORED!!! I go back to work tomorrow though and then payday Thursday - yay!
Today's scruffy selection is:

It's more about not daring to show off my legs :rotfl: I don't really do skirts or dresses - feel too fat and uncomfortable in them. The flab is steadily going though so perhaps I shall treat myself to a beautiful frock in a few months.0 -

Morning all, and thank you Tara! Gig was fab, really good fun. I'm tired in work today though!
Going to my OH's dad's 70th birthday party straight from work tonight, so am wearing...
Skinny jeans (£7, River Island via eBay)
Purple and yellow floral long jersey top/dress (£25, Topshop)
White vest
Mustard yellow cardi
Mustard yellow suede waist belt
Bright green leather Mary Janes (£10, vintage shop)
Green floral printed scarf with silver thread (£2, vintage shop)
Chunky silver cuff
Silver 'Sweetie' bracelet with wishbone, heart and Russian doll charms (present, Links of London)
Silver heart with arrow studs
I rarely wear silver (apart from a bespoke ring my OH bought me, that I wear everyday) so it's nice to have a change from my usual gold. Happy rainy Wednesday all!0 -
Afternoon all!
Off work today, been into town for a wander round the shops and posted some old uni textbooks I've sold on Play.com, and now just doing some job applications. Also just had a phone call from a bloke at the Guardian about me being in a feature about graduate job hunting, which is rather exciting...
Anyhoo, today's outfit is:
- Pink and grey scoop neck stripy three quarter sleeve top (Dorothy Perkins)
- Blue/black jeans (Gap)
- Red glasses (French Connection via Asda opticians)
- Red socks with glittery stripes (Dorothy Perkins)

Can't believe I've only just found this board! I love bargain hunting and never buy any clothes that aren't in the sales. Usually use vouchers from Consumer Pulse to buy things, just wish they gave M&S vouchers.
Today to work I wore:
White sleveless shirt, M&S (£2)
Purple high-waisted skirt, M&S Limited Collection (£5)
Black & White heels, Matalan (98p!)
Black shrug - Monsoon (given as present)
Pink, purple & silver beaded necklace - Dorothy Perkins (bought with Consumer Pulse vouchers)
And, because it's more fun with pictures...0
