  • Hi, if its not too late there is a whole thread on carboot sales, good advice and info, I think its in the shopping board, (sorry not clever enough to do links). dd and I do a carboot sale couple of times a year, usually clothes, books kids stuff and bric a brac. Having your clothes on a rail is a good idea, but don't put too much stuff on the floor, in front of your stall, so people can't get to the stuff on your table. It's amazing how many people do that! As someone else mentioned, watch out for dealers, who crowd you as you are unpacking, just be firm, but polite. And don't keep your money in a plastic box on the table, a money belt, or a little handbag or purse you can wear across your body is best way to keep your cash safe. hth & good luck

    I'm definitely dressed down today.

Combat pants rolled up to above the knee as I've been sitting out in the garden trying to catch a bit of sun - Evans (but these are getting very loose now, yay!)
White top with green and yellow leaf print - Monsoon clearance store

glowgirl - hope your dog's ok
  • What's up with your dawgie glowgirl???

Been manic the last couple of days. Can only report to velour tracksuits!!!!

Grammergirl, havn't read all of your posts, but my penny's worth is this:

Don't let people panic you into taking a cheap price, usually whilst your unpacking your car ,dealers and serious booters are rummaging whilst your unpacking your car. Take plenty of carrier bags, plenty of change and be prepared for your stuff to get flung about :(

    Thanks Alexnikov:)

Sharronloves2spend, He's cut his gum on a bone he had a couple of days ago and we think it might be infected, the left side of his face has swollen up a lot, he's eating and drinking normally and behaving as he always does, I've given him antibiotics and painkillers but because he wouldn't let the vet examine him properly he has to go back on Monday even if its gone down which it does seem to of a bit already, he just looks sad and is even more cuddly then he is normally, he's never ill and I feel bad for him:heartpuls

Hello all... well I've finally finished pricing things up, pretty pleased I've got everything priced because I think I'll feel less panicked to sell at a price I'm not happy with. I know what I want for my stuff, am willing to go a bit lower but not ridiculously so. We're all ready now anyway! Should be in bed really as I'm up at 5.30am but haven't even had tea yet! Oh well. I'll have a snooze tomorrow. Thanks for all your help girls, and thanks katieclampet, going to have a peek at that thread now!

    Here's today's:

Purple and white printed tunic (99p, French Connection via eBay)
    Black leggings
    Yellow suede waist belt
    Mustard yellow cardi
    Tan leather gladiators
    Nameplate necklace
    Wooden and metal bangles

Will update when I get back tomorrow. :)
  • :grouphug:Lots of (albiet dodgy) hugs to your dog glowgirl. My staffy loves bones and devours them is minutes, what a shame for that to happen when he was doing something dogs enjoy so much.

Can't wait for the after boot sale report grammergirl!!!

Wearing jeans (next) black cutwork top (new look) grey mary janes from clarks and using my paddington-esq bag.

Clearing garage today, oh the joy:rolleyes: usual guff to do aswell, getting all the kids school uniform ready for when we come back off holiday. they go back the day after we are back, so i'm praying for no delays!!!
