Lost, that is one brilliant idea!

(I've done my good deed for today, I did some shopping for my Nan so she didn't have to go out in the cold!)

I love everything about Christmas. I love buying presents for people and seeing how happy they are to receive them. I love getting presents myself. I love the weather, the songs, the atmosphere and the traditions. I'm not at all religious and Christmas for me is about pretty things, happiness and being with the ones you love. I always spend too much money and January is always a nightmare. But it's just so magical! That's probably a bit too honest of me. I'm a rather materialistic person but my heart is in the right place! :o

Anyway, back to business. Today I wore:

    Black pinafore dress
    Black woolly tights
    Black knee high socks
Black and gold chain printed scarf
    Berry coloured polo neck jumper
    Velvet bow pumps
    Berry cocktail ring

And I've updated my blog with the results. Hope you all had fab Tuesdays!

GG- no, I don't think your materialistic for feeling that way (and I respect you for speaking your mind!) there is a part of me that loves the magic of Christmas,
for me part of it is associated with some horrible times/and part of me still finds it a real struggle,
and I think that somewhat clouds my judgement.

I'm not allowed to say I don't like Christmas as I have 3 children! I do like the whole pretty lights thing and getting together with family we rarely see but I hate buying presents for people when I know they probably don't need or even want or like them and I don't really like getting presents myself unless I've specified something I want as I am then obliged to keep and use whatever it is even if I don't want it. It's just a huge waste of money and I loathe wasting money!

Ah, you're sweet. I hope you can forget the horrible times and have a lovely festive season. :)

I'm a spendthrift all year round really, so it's not much of a surprise that I love the most purse unfriendly season!:rotfl:

Oh, LiR - I bought a coffee maker! I ended up getting a Morphy Richards Latitude from eBay for a brilliant price (brand new from a power seller). It makes filter coffee but also has a milk frother and a timer so he can set it to be ready for a morning brew. It seemed like a good choice for a beginner anyway! Will let you know the verdict in a couple of months.

Was loathe to buy anything that relied on pods and looked as ugly as that Dolce Gusto duck monstrosity. Sorry to anyone who has it/likes it, but that thing won't be going anywhere near my kitchen!

Ooh, lucky you. agree about pods (although there is a very good one whose name I can't remember, it limits options). I've actually managed to cut down on coffee since my meds changed: I'm aiming to get down to two a day :o without feeling like my handbrake is on. I actually have had a coffeless day without noticing in the last week :D

I just LOVE coffee though. Happy caffiene buzzing!

What do you reckon was the worst, the church going or the veggie sausage sandwiches? :rotfl:

Veggie sausages. Animals eat grass (veggies) and turn it into meat. Therefore meat is a more efficient way of eating concentrated veggies
Who I am is not important. What I do is.
  • Was just on phone with DH and he had a great idea for us..perhaps help all we swanky dressers feel a it more Christmassy? the effort to do something small extra to help someone every day of advent. No pointin us all making an effort to look good unles we are BEING good too. :) Perhaps we can aim for a stylish halo accesory for the festive season?

I won't even think that this might be quite a self serving suggestion from DH ;)

    I love that idea! :)

It's marginally less cold today than it has been, and my outfit today is:

    - Pink scoop neck jumper (Topshop via sister)
    - Black flower corsage pinned to left shoulder of jumper (Topshop)
    - Grey wide leg pinstripe trousers (Zara via sister)
    - Black Mary Jane style shoes with chunky heels (M&S)
    - Black military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
    - Multicoloured scarf, beanie hat and mittens (Accessorize) to come into work
    - Brown leather handbag (21st birthday present from parents)
    - Usual jewellery (birthday/Christmas/graduation presents from parents and boyfriend)

Hair is straightened then messed up with spray wax, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily (almost gone now though!) and nail polish is Nails Inc South Molton Street.

In work until around half five, then home to do my workout and watch I'm A Celebrity.

    Happy Wednesday everyone!

Ooh we're quiet on here this morning!
I'm making the most of having the house to myself and writing christmas cards and wrapping my Mum's birthday presents.

    Wearing

Black straight leg trousers: Zara ("borrowed" from Mum)
    Leopard print bodysuit: New Look
    Grey bf blazer: New Look

The house is toasty warm, and I have no intention of going outside today so less layers are needed :)
