Ok, finallllly dressed! Haha,
Black satin tiered above knee (but not too short) skirt: New Look; recent sale buy.
Faded black tee with wolf print: New Look
Grey tights: Boots
Black studded ankle boots: La Redoute
it sounds good in principle, but I'm not sure I like it, but whatever, I'll be covered up when I go out!
Also,
after procrasinating awfully, have just done an NCTJ (journalist training) self test in preparation for the distance learning media law course I need to do and scored 86%
grading criteria was:
less than 40% will struggle, try again at later date
40-60%, will find course difficult but possible
60%, should complete course with relative ease
so I am veryyyy happy
and once enrolled will be one step closer to where I want to be0 -

That's great news, Daisy. I did NCTJ as part of my degree and got a job on a mag straight after uni. Could you get any work experience on a local mag or newspaper? I found that's what really helped me get my job at the magazine and my subsequent job at an ad agency. Everyone loves a bit of work experience! Although your blog really speaks for itself, that's a great outlet for your writing.
Hi to everyone. It's not raining here but is cold, grey and still wet from last night. Still, one of my recent eBay steals arrived at work today and that's cheered me up no end! Am going to start my Christmas shopping tonight... can anyone recommend a good coffee machine? OH is a coffee fiend and wants to start drinking the good stuff. LiR, I know you'll have some advice...
Today's is:
Floral tea dress
Wine coloured polo neck
Grey ribbed tights
Green bow pumps
Black cocktail ring
Black and wine(ish) coloured enamel bracelet
I look a real mess today! My hair is too long, nothing matches, my dress is too short, my tights are all twisted! Gah!!!0 -

I've done a 2 week work placement at my local newspaper [initially one week then they asked me back to help out when they were short staffed], I'd love to do more,
but the paper has now merged with central Bristol and are a nightmare to work for, apparently.
All other placements seem to be London, which I cant afford/am not really well enough to get to right now,
but I'm on the look out for some remote placements so I can work from home!
I keep pondering whether I'm hindering myself by not having a degree. I've done a college course, which I passed with flying colours, and am going to do as much NCTJ as possible
but again, health wise, right now uni isn't an option and I'm quite keen to just push through and make my own wayI just hope I'm not aiming for the impossible!

Becuse I run on coffee or because DH is Italian?:D
actually, we use a stove top caffitiere...not the french press cafetiere, the italian one...http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=cafetiere%20bialetti&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi which produces espresso, then we either drink that as espresso or machiato or lengthen for a latte or cappucino. For long not milky coffee we just use a french press caffitiere. We have a standard size french press and vrious sizes of stove top thing.
This is because we enjoy the coffee making business (there is something so exciting about the stove top thing starting to gurgle) and because we think the coffee is equal to anything a machine produces. Also, for a cappucio, it takes about the same time to whisk skimmed milk over the stove as the coffee takes, and the whiskin, while easy burns some of the extra calories (skim milk whisks best, so is less guilty hand made anyway!). We also decided very practically financially: by saving money on machinery, we can spend a little more on quality beans....
oh, we have a grinder too, ours is ancient and inherited, it takes moments to use, but we also buy ground coffee.
So, sorry, on the machine front no use at all!0 -
I'm wearing an outfit I like for work for once!
