    Morning gang!

Hope everyone's feeling good this morning. I've been eBaying since 8am and am rocking the Yootha Joyce look in a vintage quilted rose print housecoat, Winehouse-esque winged eyeliner and tangerine lipstick.

To anyone under the age of 40 Yootha played "Mildred" in Man About The House and George and Mildred back in the 1970's. She also featured on the cover of the Smiths' ASK single.

I will get dressed soon as it's Pilates later so I'll report back this afternoon.

Poor Mildred, George could never satisfy her womanly needs!
  • Afternoon all!

Work again today, mostly spent preparing for tomorrow (I am getting increasingly nervous about this!), and today's outfit is:

    - Long sleeved purple scoop neck top (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black pencil style wrap skirt (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black tights (M&S)
    - Black Mary Janes with chunky heel (M&S)
    - Black wool mix military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
    - Multicoloured stripy wool scarf, beanie hat and mittens (Accessorize) to come into work
    - Brown leather handbag
    - Usual jewellery

Hair is straightened, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily, and nail polish is Nails Inc Victoria.

In work until five, then off home to do my workout and finish preparing for tomorrow.

    Happy Wednesday everyone!

    I've been Money Tipped!
daisybella, I normally have christmas pretty much sorted out before september, but this year I haven't strted yet.

My mother's is going to be hardest, and very expensive...the only one we are splashing out on. Its a ''big'' birthday and christmas present combined and she wants a (no less than 14 carat) gold bangle. Its proving pretty tough...she's got very classic tastes, and wants something very plain, and it must be a proper bangle, no fiddly clasps. Surprisingly difficult to find! The rest of us have decided gifts for children (of friends and in the family) only..I imagine we'll all slip a little, but I really feel less inspired this year. I've asked DH for a day and his wallet of sales shopping instead. :)

Anyway, piratefairy, I'm glad yu're feeling better. TBH I'm feeling pretty glum ATM..I've had a nother week where have been having tests and discussing results etc. Its all so dismal and boring.

This morning I wore the same clothes as yesterday, as yesterdays were off for the majority of time I was out, and not worn at home at all.

    I'll make more effort tomorrow:)

Hello Lostinrates! Sorry you're feeling down at the moment, big virtual hugs from me xxx

I've usually got Xmas sorted by now as I generally go way the first week in December. I'm almost there, though, as I don't have many presents to buy and am on the look out all year for unusual gifts.

Thanks for the YouTube link, Bronnie. I adored George and Mildred and was only reminiscing with my brother about "Man About The House" at the weekend. Yootha had such an outrageous style and I can't think of a contemporary actress to compare with her.

I'm out of my Yootha Joyce attire now and am just trying on a recent eBay bargain that arrived earlier (photo on blog). It's a night in with homemade pizza, Spooks and The Family tonight.

    Have a lovely evening!
