    Goan- always the way eh?
Love the sound of your outfit (as always)
  • Morning all!

I'm back at work after a weekend in London and have started my working week with some very exciting news - I have a job interview on Thursday! It's similar to what I'm doing now, but based in London and a bit more money. In all honesty I wasn't expecting to hear back from them as it's been ages since I applied for the job, but it's lovely to feel that they want me, especially as I really want this job!

So now all I have to do is work out what to wear for the interview...

Anyways, back to today, and my outfit is:

    - Black and white stripy three quarter sleeve V neck jumper (Primark)
    - Black pinstripe detail straight leg trousers (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black Victorian style ankle boots with button detail (New Look) - you can only really see the toes though under the trousers
    - Black wool mix military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
    - Multicoloured stripy wool scarf (Accessorize) to come into work
    - Brown leather handbag (birthday present from parents)
    - Usual jewellery (birthday/Christmas/graduation presents from family and boyfriend)

Hair is straightened as usual, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily and nail polish is Nails Inc Victoria (dark cherry red kind of colour).

I'm in work until around half past five, then off home to do my workout and start preparing for my interview.

    Happy Tuesday everyone!

    Hi all and welcome gbt!

Sounds like the boss's wife has imposed the dress code, fancy dress is supposed to be fun.....if one is worried about 'appropriateness' (such a word??) for a work do, then why do fancy dress? .....if you ask me!!

Flapper sounds the most fun to me, but some other random ideas.......

Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde wore a beret....there are lots in the shops now!

You could do a sexy female version of a male gangster in a trouser suit and trilby, there's an example on the link . These ideas are a bit OTT for the 'rules', but you could maybe adapt, the knee length shirt dress idea.

    Have fun!

    Excellent ideas Bronnie!

Also, how about Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction? I'm pretty sure she counts as a 'moll', and it's relatively easy - white shirt, skinny black trousers, high heels, long brown wig if necessary, red lipstick and you're done.

Well done Min, good luck with the interview......I never fail to be impressed by your commitment in your posts, whether to perservering with your job applications or to do doing your workouts after work!! Hope you get the break!!

gg good news about our little friend.....there are a few of us 'cat women' here aren't there....we're not sad....how can you resist cats..... I just love them and their little personalities. My wussy little boy has put on quite a lot of weight since his bossy older 'sister' was PTS. He used to step back from the bowl, whenever she appeared. He's still a wuss though!

GG...Christmas gear.... another vote for bikini, wrap and flip flops here, I'm afraid! Have spent Christmas in the sun several times and that's where I'd like to be this year.........not going to happen on Xmas Day as DD will be at home but she's working between Xmas and New Year so we can't get away then , but scheming for a getaway as soon after as decently poss. Otherwise a new sweater dress and cosy tights are perfect for me.
