The sun is out, the sun is out, quick.....

so after racing down to get horses rugs off for half a day I put on, black and white jersy dress, with yelow and pick vest (and pants) showing, black long but light cardigan, and flat black shoes. (no tights and just studs and wedding ring, as had to take most of it off at the hospital anyway :)).

Oh drat, the suns hiding again. :(

I'm knew to this thread so please be gentle with me :D

I'm chuffed with my new body so want to show it off a bit but I'm 39 now and I'm very aware that I still have a bit of a muffin top at the sides, and more of my belly, poking over my not very low cut jeans, and that the youngsters are likely to be abdominally toned. (i have seen much worse being shown in my local co-op but i know i'll still be self conscious of my untoned bits).

Hmm! A diet of alcopops/ fizzy drinks/ junk food and presumably lack of exercise, shockingly seems to have taken it's toll on lots of young teenage girls these days.

I think this winter's fashions are the kindest they've been for many years though! Empire line, long tops and boyfriend jackets and waistcoats all brilliant and flattering for covering the wobbly bits. I think there are so many truly wearable styles in the shops atm for curvy figures. Wonderful!

    Have a fun time!
  • Hi, new here but felt compelled to add....still in my house clothes :D

I'm feeling very sick with morning sickness so getting dressed in the morn seems like one of the hardest things to do ATM :(

I am in Grey velour joggers, bright yellow H&m vest top, and a bright green hooded zip up jumper - all with my lovely pink fluffy bootie slippers! A right mismatch but very comfy.

DD is still in her pj's too....oops! She is having a chill out day with mummy!

    welcome.

IMO house clothes are economical, and MSE :) They save wear ''good''clothes, and can be layered up to reduce heating bills. I have tracksuits I wear two do my chores outside twice or so a day, and house clothes. That also means though I wear quite a lot of clothes/get changed a few times a day, I don't have to wash my filty tracksuits every time (I tend to get mud on the legs of them). I am thinking of smartening up my animal gear, but at the moment in the mud I'm just not bothering:o

I'm still in the clothes I wore out today, but by this evening will be in ''house clothes''.
  • Thank you!!! - yes i am the same. Certain clothes for certain 'jobs', i.e housecleaning, just lazing or something different for the dog walking. House clothes are the best - so so so comfy :D

It drives my OH mad as he was brought up to ''get dressed'' every morn, i don't see much point if you are not going out. I still have a wash and a bath daily, and plenty of house clothes to chose from :D

Plus i don't like my good clothes to wear out too quickly as being tiny it is tough to find really nice things that fit! :D

At the moment it's the casual look, as I was bleaching my hair this morning (decided not to get it cut, as I'm liking the elfin look - suits my name - and the bleach has thinned it considerably on top so it'll be OK for a bit)

Two things - Where can I get some decent denim skirts that stop about mid-thigh but nearer the knee (NOT knee length or below - I look like a twit with below knee length skirts) so I can wear them with my boots and leggings? Am a inbetween size too so big 14s or small 16 shops appreciated.

Also, how the hell do I use straighteners? I have a pair, but barely use them, but want to as OH is taking me out tomorrow night and I wanna look drop dead gorgeous for him.

    Today am wearing:
Jeans that are waaaay too big
    fluffy pink comfy socks
Vest top I got on holiday from my fave bar
    Black fleece

Happy Bonfire Night! I LOVE this time of year. It's so magical! We're not going to a bonfire 'til Saturday night so I'm just watching the fireworks out of the window after eating a big bowl of chilli.

Just updated my blog with photos of today's outfit...

    Floral tea dress
    Burgundy roll neck jumper
    Burgundy ribbed wool tights
    Black belt with gold buckle
    Black suede pixie boots
    Black cocktail ring

Hope you're all having fabulous evenings! :)

Good morning to you all. Two comments in a row from me! I'm considering moving my blog over to Blogger from Tumblr as I'm not getting on with the formatting they use AT ALL and all my favourite blogs are on Blogger. Would it be too interruptive to shift over? I'd do a few montage posts with my favourite past outfits to get the ball rolling, then launch straight back into the daily posts. I just find everything easier on Blogger - it's easier to leave comments, editing your blog is simpler, I can use HTML... hhhmmm. I've set up a new blog with a new name and will get my bf to design it for me on Sunday. So keep an eye out!

    Anyway, today's outfit is:

    Skinny jeans
    Royal blue silk puddybow blouse
    Mustard yellow cardi
    Black pixie boots
    Blue stud earrings
    Owl face ring

And my Diesel parka on its first proper outing. It's SO cold today! :)

GG- it shouldn't be too hard to transfer over, I'm not entirely sure how it all works, but I know several bloggers have moved hosts :o

    Wearing:
    Black + floral skirt
    Black thermal tights
    Oatmeal (?!) coloured vest
    Denim shift
Kitten heel black vintage look shoes

+ hot pink winter coat and cream scarf when I pop out for a wander later.
  • Morning everyone!

Work again today, very busy morning so far but I like that - twiddling my thumbs drives me mental!

    Anyway, today's outfit:

    - Purple deep V neck three quarter sleeve cardigan (Next)
    - White scoop neck T shirt (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Purple and white striped A line skirt (Topshop)
    - Black tights (M&S)
    - Tan suede boots (Rocket Dog)
    - Black wool mix military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
    - Multicoloured stripy wool scarf, beanie hat and gloves (Accessorize) to come into work
    - Brown leather handbag (birthday present)
    - Usual jewellery

Hair and perfume are the same as yesterday, nail polish is Revlon Nail Enamel in Plum Night.

In work until around four today, then off to get my train down to London to see my boyfriend :D I don't think we'll be doing anything when we get back to his place though other than having a good chill.
