    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm debating the sense of a maxi dress in this pouring rain, I'd planned wearing it today and I didn'twhan to change my mind but I think I'm going to have to.

MSE task for the day: I have a great red knitted empire line dress that keeps giving on the stitching on the empire seam. I've sewn it a couple of times and was going to give up andbin it yesterday but I do really like it, so I'm going to give it one last attempt at repair.

Overlocker?? I don't yet own one myself, but assume this would help here..

Today I braved the pink lace body which I snapped up for £2 in Primark, underneath a jersey pinafore, black with grey heart print, also Primark. Have teamed it with black cardi, and leggigns, and a pair of flat Irregular Choice pumps with an embroidered girl on the front, and ballet style ribbons which tie at the ankles..

lost- unless you want water up to your armpits I'd give up on the maxi dress for today!

pirate- I want that pink body so much, primark never had my size here :(

    Morning all,
I was going to go Christmas shopping today but I feel a bit...blah?! Flat and lacking in energy, so I think I'll skip it and laze around instead.

    Wearing
Black "rock and roll" jumper dress: New Look
    Plain black leggings: New Look
Black studded flat ankle boots: La Redoute.

I'm trying to resist the urge to compulsivley spend online,
New Look have some gorgeous stuff in right now, and the new Giles Deacon range coming out on Monday ( have seen a preview, some awesome stuff!)

daisybella you are quite right...I've gone for a short dress after all. knee length crocheted dress, blck tights (I don'tlike black tghts, much prefer grey, but had to buy back tights because everything I have has laddered and locally can only get black :() and flat black shoes. Oversize grey handbag.

I'm hoping to squeeze n some charity shopping too.

Hmm....an overlocker, I don't hve access to one, but sounds right. I just can't wear it agan till got it sorted, as it keeps going nd giving a cheeky show of boob when its least expected!

Grr, stupid forum logged me out by the time I'd finished writing!

Morning all, lovely bright day here today, but flipping freezing with it.

Daisybella, I know what you mean, I've got that blah midweek feeling as well. My get-up-and-go has got up and gone.

    Anyway, today's outfit:
60s bright swirly print boat neck blouse (bought at weekend)
ancient 501s (forgot I had these)
    big man's cardigan (that's a man's cardy that's big, not a a cardy I stole from a big man)
    Fitflop Billows

OH well, back to the grind - but not before another cup of tea.
    Have a good day folks.

PS I think I need one of these for winter!

Daisy, they didnt have my size either, the nearest I could get was 2 sizes up, but I think it looks better than being tight, and I figured you couldn't really go wrong for £2..Wasn't sure if I liked it, but I think I do now ;)

I'm knew to this thread so please be gentle with me :D

I despearatley need some fashion advice please.
I'm going out for a girly night out with old college friends - drinking and dancing and reliving our youth. Not done this for YEARS. What do people wear nowadays?! nice jeans, glam top and heels? slinky dress? I don't want to look like mutton, but not like a geography teacher either.

I don't have any smart trousers to wear with a glam top instead of jeans - the ones i would have worn are all too big (yay but also a pain in the smaller !!!!). I'm chuffed with my new body so want to show it off a bit but I'm 39 now and I'm very aware that I still have a bit of a muffin top at the sides, and more of my belly, poking over my not very low cut jeans, and that the youngsters are likely to be abdominally toned. (i have seen much worse being shown in my local co-op but i know i'll still be self conscious of my untoned bits).

Also, I've just got some Apple Bottom jeans from ebay. Are they still trendy? I hope so because they feel fantastic on!

    help!
    My name is Paula and I am a low carber :kiss: 1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg :kiss: (Atkins/IPD) 24/1/13 - 69kg! Yikes!:cry::cry:

    OMG me too!

I crawl out of bed at an ngodly hour to get the horse done before the chickens want out at sun up, its always miserably cold. If only the legs were small enough to get into boots I'd be all set! I have seen horrid fleece boiler suit in one of those terrible ctalogues that comes with the sunday papers I'm considering to keep me comfy and toasty. :o
