YAY! :D Glad you all like it! :j
When I first saw it my initial thought was to wear a long sleeved top underneath, and with tights and heels. I'm excited now, just need to find chance to go look and hope they have some in my size! Fingers crossed!

Only just had a chance to reply,
not sure how to explain the bunny thing, so I won't :o

    Afternoon gang!

HB81 - that dress is fab and I'd wear it with purple or green (as LiR suggested).

Hope everyone's well and looking forward to the weekend. Planning a quiet one, Trick or Treaters should approach our house at their peril.

Showered and ready for a night in with a bottle of Havana Club rum and a takeaway and am wearing:
Vintage green maxi dress (jumble sale 10p - photo on blog)
    Bare feet and damp hair.

    Have a great weekend!

    lol me too, sort of!

DH and I always hop in the bath/shower together on Friday, because he's awya all week :o but I've just had to have my (second) shower of the day (sweaty and muddy experience with two very old lady horses who should know better and a field of calves): so I've put a hair mask in and will have a third shower later :o feeling environmentally reckless :o. I'm going to pull on one of my ''house'' evening dresses and a cardi to get DH from the station, then we're having a lovely glass of white burgandy and a recipe I'm tinkering with for the village cookbook, will take about 7 minutes to cook : as good as a takeway I reckon!

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Has anyone else been obsessivley queueing for the Caramel Bunny thing?

I got one on my second attempt :)

Well I was, but then my work computer went a bit funny so thought best come away before I did any more damage. Oops!

Well done though, you're on a winning streak - and they do say things come in threes!

Hope everyone's got a nice night lined up, I'm stuck at work but hopefully there'll be a cold glass of white waiting for me when I get in much much later.

Grammargirl - I love the Primark purple dress you're wearing in your blog.

    Nearly forgot, today's outfit:
    black leggings
    black oversized batwing jumper
    black Frye boots
cherry red angora beret (not currently wearing - they'd definitely think I'd lost the plot at work!)
long necklace with lots of dangling charms

I need to get some colour into my winter wardrobe!

If it gets cold in here, I will be! I've been known to bring my hot water bottle in in winter and wear my fingerless gloves! :rotfl:

Re Alex's brown ankle boots.....I think she's away now, but if I don't post these now I'll forget...

Sorry about the price tho'.... depends whether you want to 'invest' or just a quick fix!!

She's right, It is really hard to find dark brown ankle boots. The Primark brown flat ones with studded band DD got on closer examination are an absolute bargain at £14......definitely worth trying to see if they come back in store, they're not leather but to get 'the look' they are really surprisingly good quality and style!

Thanks Bronnie :) I tried the Liverpool Primark again on Wednesday (I'm not going back there at half term, I got told off by some narky woman with a pushchair for daring to use the lift instead of the escalators - I had a massive weekend bag with me and wasn't about to traipse round 4 floors to get to the shoes!) but no joy. Tried the Newcastle Primark as well and guess what, they only had them in brown in a size 3 as well

I've tried on the second pair of Faith ones you linked to. Despite looking nice from far away, they're quite cheap and nasty up close and I reckon the Primark ones are probably better quality. Odd but there you go!

Oh now I quite like them. I shall ponder what to do - I don't really like to buy shoes online without knowing what size I am in that brand (if that makes sense) but those are the only pair I've seen that are nice and I don't want to pass them up! I honestly can't believe how hard it's been to find a pair!

    Anyway, today's outfit is:

    Black cowboy boots
    Indigo jeans
White cotton v neck 3/4 sleeve top
Silver grey hip length tank top
    Silver bangles
Hair up in a messy bun

I am ridiculously pleased with the tank top - it's only from Primark but I've now lost enough weight (2 stone 6 lbs in 3 months :j) to be able to buy things from there and I don't feel like such a horrible chubber anymore :o I don't mean any offence to anyone who's size 18+ , I just feel so much happier with the way I look now, despite there being an awful long way to go.

Thank GOODNESS it's Friday! I honestly cannot tell you how happy I am to have two days off! I've had a hellish week and my blog and outfits have suffered... hopefully next week will be easier and I'll look much more stylish! :)

    Today's was:
    Skinny jeans
Nude jersey top with fabric necklace attached
    Brown cardigan
    Brown studded boots
    Bangle stack
    Big filigree earrings

No photos as my outfit was so dull and uninspired. Tomorrow I'll be back with a bang! Enjoy your evenings. :)
  • Hey guys, hope you're all good, a pretty late post for me today (as always) I am pretty good at leaving stuff to the last minute. Went out for lunch with the rents today, outift was sorta smart casual:
Rose printed high waisted pencil skirt (Matalan sale £8ish)
    White vest (Topshop £5)
Black tuxedo style cardi (Topshop via ebay £5is)
Charcoal fringed ankle boots (Topshop sale £25)

So what's everyone doing/going as for Halloween? We're going to a special halloween night at a local attraction (bit like a much much smaller, lower bidget Madam Tussauds, and then going out for drinks. Evtrygody dresses up in Newquay at the slightest encouragement so blending in isn't really an option.

So I'm gonna go as a 1940s style cigarette girl, think this but a little less slutty and more homemade http://www.brandsonsale.com/ca-010710.html
I've just now made my cigarette box out of an old shoe box lid (made smaller and covered with black sparkly paper) and I'm going to buy some ribbon for it tomorrow. I'm going to attempt to do my hair and makeup 40s style (have watched some youtube (utuorials and it looks quite simple). I'm not sure what I'm going to wear yet, I thought either this dress:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KATE-MOSS-TOPSHOP-red-capelet-sleeve-dress-6-2-34-RARE_W0QQitemZ290292094962QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWomen_s_Clothing?hash=item4396c1d7f2

    Or this one:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Womens-TOPSHOP-size-10-black-floral-bodycon-dress_W0QQitemZ330371660733QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWomen_s_Clothing?hash=item4cebaf7bbd

I have them both already, or I might wear the aforementioned matalan rose printed skirt and a black bandeau top, all with heels.

Whish do you guys think is better/more appropriate for the costume/period? I'm really dense about vintage clothes really. Alternatively I'm gonna have a look in the charity shops tomorrow as I would like a pill box hat to go with it so if I see a dress there I might get it.

I'd really love all you guys' advice, you're all so stylish, thanks lovelies and let me know what you're all doing for All Hallow's Eve. Its kinda doubly special for us cos my boyfriend and I met at a Halloween party 4 years ago xxxxx
