Hurrah for Charlie George! Glad he's on the mend, GG! Female cats are extremely territorial but I know that she'll come round to accept the kitty eventually.
Had a very early start this morning as I went booting with a friend who's making the most of her half-term hols (lots of bargains - just updated my blog with a few pictures). Afterwards we had a walk round a nearby market town that despite being only 11 miles away we'd never been to and it would have been rude not to pop into their Wetherspoon's for a veggie burger meal deal.
It's so weird popping into TopShop and Monsoon and seeing things outrageously priced when we've just bought the same make in a field a few miles away for less than £1.
Today's practical outfit for trekking around a field:
TopShop grey skinny Baxter jeans (Car boot sale £1)
Long grey and brown striped skinny top (TopShop over 3 years ago)
Vintage black waistcoat with ethnic braiding (Charity shop £2)
Silver tribal bangles and rings (India)
Statement choker made from rupee coins (India)
Silver bell earrings (Indonesia)
Tooled leather cowboy boots (50p car boot sale)
Vintage leather cartridge bag with gold studs (50p car boot sale)
Skinny 1970's brown leather jacket (Charity shop over 15 years ago)
Have a lovely evening, gang!

Not feeling brilliant but a friend told me tht sheer very bright coloured tights re £1 reduced from £2 in Tescos, so for the bright tight lovers it might be a good buy nd wnte to share before all the tights were sold in case some of you want them!
I think they are pink or aqua blue.0 -
Ohhh guess I'm checking out Tesco tomorrow

Just wanted to pop in and say I feel like I've been a bit absent from this thread recently... only coming in to post my outfits and not really taking part in the discussions and advice sharing. I've been so ridiculously busy recently, I haven't had time to think! Hopefully things will ease off a bit over the next few weeks so I'll be able to get back into this thread properly. I do read every post and follow all the links so if I miss out on commenting, please know I'm still listening!
GG, so glad Charlie George is okay! What a great name, too. I am exhausted and feeling drained and run down, so off to bed in the hopes that an early (for me!) night will cure me. Speak to you all tomorrow. xxx0 -
Hi,
I browse this thread from time to time but have never joined in, but was hoping you ladies may be able to offer me some advice, seemed like a good place to ask, hope you don't mind me popping in...
I'm going to a Christening in a few weeks time and am going to be Godmother (so will be taking part in the service and have to stand up in front of everyone and possibly on photos etc) and I have no idea what to wear!
Any ideas?
I'm happy to buy something new but don't really want to spend much if I can help it! Might just have to drag myself round town and hope something catches my eye but don't really know what i'm looking for!
Thanks for your help!
(ps i'm age 28, about 5'4" and size 8/10)0 -
HB- what kind of clothes would you wear on a day to day basis? It's hard to take a random stab in the dark,
although a pretty dress pretty much suits all occasions in my book!
I have no clue what I'm wearing yet today
I'm sat here drinking tea and procrasinating from getting ready because I am lazy.0 -
I am at work! :-( No one understands my style in the office, they call me 'Betty' (as in Ugly Betty no doubt!) Today I am wearing some chunky buckled patent black high heels, a Vivienne Westwood giant t-shirt dress that's white with balck columns on it with a big red belt round my waste (sleeves pushed up) and black opaque tights! :-)0
