Nice to see some more newcomers on the fashion thread!
OMG I have the hangover from hell!! Too much of the old diwali celebrations last night put my booting plans on the backburner for today.
Hope everyone's enjoying this lovely sunny day. I've just uploaded some photos on to my blog showing off some of yesterday's jumble sale bargains if you want to take a peek at my blog.
Today's outfit is the usual sunday afternoon chill-out look:
Vintage floral printed needlecord maxi skirt (Vintage fashion fair £10)
Purple ribbed vest (Topshop via car boot sale 50p)
Vintage denim waistcoat
Urban Outfitters peacock bangles (50p from last week's car boot)
Wooden Accessorize ring and purple & brass cocktail ring (25p from a car boot)
Gold and purple glass chandelier earrings (Mumbai street market)
Enjoy the rest of the day, gang!

I'm new to the thread too! I'm crazy about clothes and fashion, but not so much a slave to the trends. I love doing it 'my way'
I'm one of those terrible folk who can't leave the house unless I'm fully dressed, hair all in place, looking fab. I guess that's partly due to being overweight in my early twenties and living in jeans and t-shirts. Now the weight is history I guess I do make more of an effort with my appearance. My boyfriend describes me as the most elegant lady he knows!
Today I'm wearing:
Grey pointy toe slouch boots (a bargain from last winter. Think they were £12)
Dark blue skinny jeans
Purple knitted vest
Purple cardi
Purple waist belt (Primark £2)
Brown scarf (one of those old lady ones with ducks on - 50p from a charity shop)
I always wear a scarf, apart from when I am in bed, asleep....I have a whole wall with scarves hung on. From indian ones, to silk, to ones my granny would wear. I'm a bit addicted to them. I think they are beautiful!
Hope everyone else has somewhere more exciting than Asda to show off your togs today. We're off to catch up with some much needed grocery shopping.0 -
Goanmad, just had a look at your blog and the inside of your house is just like mine - I can even see a Tretchikoff behind the chandelier (I've got Lady of the Orient on the landing!). Love your jumble sale finds as well.
I've got a very similar bag to your leather one with the silk panels, except mine has embroidered panels and it has pockets on the front under the flap. I've had mine since I was 16 and it's not wearing too badly considering its age. Still smells of the little ethnic shop I bought it from all those years ago.
Well, I've had a week off work and quite frankly, I've spent that week in pretty cruddy clothes as I've been doing a bit DIY. Believe me, nobody would have been interested in anything I wore last week!
Back at work today and it's flipping freezing oop north so am currently wearing:
black leggings (Tesco)
long black jumper (M&S)
grey ugg boots
purple and pink silk scarf (reduced to 50p in Tesco)
stainless steel & purple stone 70s pendant (antiques fair 50p)
black vintage swing coat (out of gran's wardrobe years ago)
fingeless gloves with little flap to convert into mittens
Daisybella - try TKMaxx for petrol blue tights. I'm sure I've seen some there lately. In fact they had loads of different colours, including a twin pack of pink and purple ones (which I'm sure someone posted a pic of on here but I can't find it and they didn't get them from TKMaxx)0 -
Ohh I def need to head to TKMaxx soon then! I got some gorgeous pale aqua ones from there before.
Love the sound of your jacket0 -
Daisybella my blue tights were from boots

grrr....you know my reslove to try and look smarter in the mornings doing the chores? hopeless fail this morning....too short tracksuit trousers (to not get wet i the dew in the summer, but they were the ones I grabbed this morning) and an unflattering fleece, hair at all angles and ...no makeup. And I ran right into someone who I didn't want to see when not smart.
So, got to spend some more time and minimal money addressing that.0 -
Morning all, Happy Monday
Wearing:
Jade green jumper dress: a couple of years old from Peacocks
Tartan tights: Betsey Johnson (gift from friend in USA)
Black studded ankle boots: La Redoute
Some kind of cardigan: (not yet sure)
and scarf and jacket if I venture out.0
