Oh no Gwen, I didn't want to scare anyone off with talk of MB....
Once I've got into the swing of it, I'll stop going on about it...I promise!
Well at least you have achieved 4 things on your to do list, I rarely even get as far as writing a to do list....I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

You're missing a trick, writing to do lists is the best way of avoiding ever doing any of the things on the to do lists.
Alright! I'm not conquering the world here, but I am getting stuff done! I like ticking stuff off.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Hello!
I've not been around much recently. Mainly because I am still in the land of bad internet connections. My mobile broadband which was ordered specifically for this land, doesn't work too well over here, so another alternative has been ordered (through quidco, of course).
Not much other news really. I've updated my 'plan' on the first page with my rather limited progress. Due to the s-l-o-w internet connection, I haven't been able to do the things I'd have liked to get done, so easily. I really need to get my backside in gear next week and get things done.
One bit of good news, I got a denim skirt I've been looking at for ages in the sale this morning. Reduced from 42 pounds to 20! Fantastic. Very versatile I think....tights and boots in winter and sandals in summer.
I managed to get through the last month, living mainly on my credit card and not having a huge amount of fun. Unfortunately, it's looking like this month will be the same, although with slightly more fun as I have birthday money and vouchers to spend.
Not much other news I'm afraid. I hope to be updating regularly next week with news of my huge steps forward - ha, ha!

PS I finally got a reply from M&S. Not totally happy with their reply as they didn't seem to admit there had been a problem with the service I had received. However, they've sent a 10 pound giftcard, which I am currently pondering what purchase this will go towards.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Hi Gwen
My progress has been slow this week toobut remember, baby steps - we will get there in the end

Totally agree re: denim skirt purchase.
You can dress them up or down and they work all the time with all colours!
I hope your internet works out soon, soo annoying when it plays up!!I've got my own flat :j:j

Hello!
I'm back! I've not been around too much due to bad internet connections, work being hectic and other distractions. I've not been doing too well with the moneysaving so I need to get back on the wagon. I haven't totally fallen off, but I fear I may be in danger, so I need to get back on here and give my plans a dust off and get on with them.
There hasn't been much progress recently, however things on quidco are improving...£5 was paid to me last month - went straight to CC. My £45 earned by applying for CC's and not using them has finally moved to received and I'm hoping for a payout this month on those. They will also go straight to CC.
During my internet troubles I investigated Be broadband through quidco and £40 appears to have tracked from them, despite me not actually taking out a product - I doubt that will pay, but if by some stroke of luck it does -> CC.
Other news...my ISA transferred to IF, so I will be getting an improved interest rate on that.
I've just gotten a copy of my credit report. All looks ok at the minute, but need to have a more detailed look later. As long as I remember to cancel it, I will get £5 through quidco.
makeup - You're right about the skirt. I love it!!
Right I'm off to do some jobs

PS I finally fixed my keyboard - £!!!Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0
