Hi Gwen...feeling ill today so lurking in diaries...who knew it was such fun being a voyeur???? Well i did but i don't maximise on chances to:o
It's great to see people with plans for the new year...it gets the rest of us to do something even if it's just out of shame.
Good luck with all your plans for 2010 i'll be following:DBlessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hey Gwen
Sounds like you've been doing some serious thinking  Sometimes it is good to really reflect on things and see what you want for the future.
That is really kind of your mum to lend you the cash for the house and that will be great if you can get it all done. :j:j
I hope you have a fab NYE and all the best for 2010
Makeup xxI've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Thanks for the replies girls. I certainly have a lot to do this year. And you're so right Shoe Gal, with my house in better shape I can start to move forwards. It's something my Mum said to me. She wants me to move on and I can't until the house is sorted.
I need to think seriously about what else I want to achieve. While I'd love to believe I'd make somebody a lovely girlfriend, the truth is I'm not sure I would. I've got a number of self improvement goals I'd like to achieve. I can feel some self help book purchases coming on
Well Happy New Year everybody and all the best for 2010! _party_

Good to hear you sounding so positive for the year ahead Gwen. It sounds like its going to be a busy one but it will all be worth it when you're happy with your home
Your Mum sounds fabulous! :j
Great amount to Mr B'card. What with yours and Shoe Gals amounts paid this new year he's not going to be a happy man
I think I need to look into music magpie... Do they take old carp cd's? I;ve a few embarassing ones I'd never listen to but can't bring myself to throw them away.
I hope you've had a good first day of the year. Have you had chance to look into the bingo yet?
p.s I'm sure you'd make a fabulous girlfriend...Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Thanks Bowski, yes, it should be an eventful year. I'm quite excited about it :j I've just read my horoscopes too and they look good (if you believe that stuff, I'm going to say I do for now) :j
My Mum is fabI'm not saying she doesn't drive me a bit nuts sometimes, but she tries to help me whenever she can. I don't appreciate her enough though
, something I need to change this year.

Yes, I can't wait to see what my new balance is in January!Bowski_1011 wrote: »I think I need to look into music magpie... Do they take old carp cd's? I;ve a few embarassing ones I'd never listen to but can't bring myself to throw them away.
Yes, they do! I'm sending off a Steps album for heavens sake!I cannot believe I've put that in writing
:rotfl: Just go to music magpie and put in the barcodes of what you want to get rid of and they give you a price.

NoI've been soooo lazy. I've finally tried on the bra's Mum picked up for me, they fit really well, so I'm keeping them
I've set up my Mum's new computer, next I'm going to box up the CDs for music magpie and look for a sat nav (my Christmas present from my Dad).

:A :rotfl:Thanks, but I'm not so sure!

Sorry, I just couldnt miss the opportunity to quote 'that' in case you later delete it:D
Fear not though, my collection is a revelation even to myself & a lot of it is on vinyl too as I'm so old. Tears for Fears 'Mad World' on 7 inch anyone ?:rotfl:

Hi Gwen :hello:
I had a great day yesterday thanks, we got beat 3-0 but the lads played well, they did themselves and us fans proud!
Your Mum sounds like mine, she'll help me out as much as she can but drives me up the wall. I feel like I don't appreciate my Mam enough either but I don't know how I can change it. I do lots for her when she asks but I can't really spend time with her coz we end up arguing  And then I think about people who don't have Mam's anymore and think I am so lucky and I wish things could be differentThat sounds like we're not close but we are, I just can't spend time with her which is wierd.
Good news about the bras fitting :j I really struggle for bras and as they cost about £30 I tend to only buy them for a special occasion
Have you taken a look at the bingo yet? Should I keep asking you till you do or is it not appreciated? haha!
I will definitely check out music magpie when I get home. I laughed at Lulas post about steps but I don't know why coz I owned it myself onceand it was me that actually asked for it  I did give it away a couple of years later though.

Ah, glad you enjoyed it. Wasn't it terribly cold sitting outside for all that time though?I really hate being cold though, so probably couldn't hack it.

Yeah, my Mum is great really. Her heart is in the right place, but she can drive me nuts. She didn't used to though, I think we've just become more used to our own space and our own ways of doing things. Also, she worries about EVERYTHING, which can be quite frustrating when you're constantly trying to reassure her that things are ok. I think I'm the same, I want to spend time with her and want to enjoy it, but I find it more of an effort these days.Bowski_1011 wrote: »Good news about the bras fitting :j I really struggle for bras and as they cost about £30 I tend to only buy them for a special occasion
Yes, I really like them! £30?? Ouch! It is important they fit well though. I could probably do with being measured again...Bowski_1011 wrote: »Have you taken a look at the bingo yet? Should I keep asking you till you do or is it not appreciated? haha!

Nope haven't looked at the bingo yet, but looking at some other diaries earlier it looks like people can't get their money out so easily now or something?
The Steps CD is now safely packed up along with Britney Spears...Blue...Why am I doing this to myself?? I just need to stick the labels on it and get it to the post office. This might take a while though looking at the state of the roads around here
