Thanks Lula, me too. More vouchers wouldn't go amiss either :D

    Hi Gwen

Glad you've sort of sorted Tesco  I'm going to treat myself to Glamour when I'm out today - saw the free nail polish. I have Red and She on subscription but I am tempted to get Glamour too when I have enough Nectar points , of course :D

    Hi Shoe Gal

Yep, I've just checked my bank account and £65.08 has been refunded and arrived back with me. Still got the £14.03 payment to sort out though

I love Glamour magazine and it's a good one this month. I've just bought a subscription really cheap with Benefit goodies, but I sent it to makeup and it had expired otherwise you could do that. Nectar points are good though, feels like you're getting it for free! I'm hoping now I'm earning nectar points on my gas and electricity I should start to accumulate them a bit faster.

I'll nip over to your diary in a sec and see how your week was.

    Take care

I can't wean myself off magazines despite many attempts :o so subscriptions, especially with points, are the next best thing

Please don't hate :o me but I have £50 of Oasis vouchers so going to have a look later before I meet my friend :D

Me too :o although now I have my Marie Claire and Glamour subscriptions I'm doing pretty well at not buying any more. The thing for me is just to not even look at the magazine stand. If I see something that looks remotely interesting it'll be in my basket before I know it!

I don't hate you! That's awesome. They have soooo much lurverly stuff in there, it's amazing. Let me know what you get :D Rather sadly, I am VERY familiar with their stock

Right, I feel like I need to update a little. This week's been pretty good. Work wasn't too busy, which was nice. I feel like I managed to get other things done in the evening, instead of coming home late or just shattered. I was planning to go to a bonfire on Thursday, but it got cancelled at the last minute, which was a shame, but never mind. I was looking forward to it as a cheap night out. I need my socialising to be cheap...especially this month

This brings me onto the other news from this week....the realisation that I really am pretty skint this month. I'm not even sure where it's all gone to  I set up an account with spendingdiary.com and I'm starting to get into the habit of filling it in, so I can see where it's all going. This should be especially enlightening when I get a whole month filled in. I've also been trying to manage with what I have in....store cupboard meals...and not treat myself to little extra's. I'm hoping with some careful management like this I might make it even at the end of the month. I intend to use my time whilst skint this month to get prepared for Christmas and continue decluttering the living room and generally sorting my life out.

The bill for the boiler repair came in this week at about £80. Not too bad I suppose, but could have done without it in the first place  I transferred money to his account, so that's been paid.

In an attempt to up my income a little, I have signed up to a few more survey websites and have been trying to do all the surveys that have come my way this week. I've also done a bit of comping! :D

I had a brainwave yesterday though. The MB tickets for my Mum's Christmas present cost a bit of an arm and a bit of a leg and would mean I couldn't get her any other little extra's to put under the tree without being very, very skint. I spoke to my brother, saying if you were thinking of what to get Mum, you could put into these.... He's agreed to go halves, so I can stick to my present budget and Mum can have some nice little presents to unwrap too!

I have written a totally scary looking list for this weekend, which I may post in a minute. Really is very scary. For the moment I'm sat here browsing the forum, drinking coffee and avoiding looking at it :o

Totally scary looking 'To Do' list:

    Put bins out - Done
    Sort out post
    Finish going through receipts
Sort EDF direct debit - Done
Sort EDF gas move out - Done
    Sort out sharesave - Done
    Send mobile off
List one book on Amazon (more if possible)
Call friends...had some emails along the lines of 'are you still alive?' this week - Called one friend, sent some emails, got a couple of other friends I'll try and call during the week
    Clean bathroom
    Clean kitchen
Get new freeview box - Done
Check on status of Christmas cards in the house and possibly start writing some - Done. Need to buy some.
Buy only groceries that are needed - Done
Chase up fuel voucher and MOT voucher from Hastings Direct - Done. My fuel voucher will arrive in December and my MOT voucher next March. Damn, could really do with that fuel voucher.
Chase up accurate renewal from Lloyds car insurance AGAIN  - Done and it arrived today.
Order photo prints - Done. Couldn't find anywhere that had offers for free 5x7 prints, so ordered them from snapfish, where I get £5 cashback through quidco :D
Do some comping - Done some. Need to figure out why I can't see the text on the ITV competitions website
Do any surveys that come my way- Done, only had one though, that I got promptly screened out of
Order memory stick to back up all my photo's from my computer - Done
Sort remaining duplicate Tesco payment if possible - Sorted. Apparently that one hasn't gone out twice. I will be keeping a close eye on my statement though
    Read matched betting info again
Write letter querying council tax band - suspect I may have a case
Continue to investigate what is wrong with my laptop and cheapest way to fix it

This may be amended/added to as the weekend progresses....here goes
