It is annoying Bowski! I think they should just show you the balance as it stands, then give you the option to look at what payments are going to come out if you want to.

Yep, the beer questionaire sounds good, if I get it. Got to look up more market research type things this weekend

No, I'm afraid I don't normally enjoy my job. Most of the time it's ok, but I wouldn't really say I enjoy it and I have a lot of phases where I really don't like it if I'm honest. It's something I need to address, probably after Christmas unless I spot dream job in the meantime :D

Argh - £170!! I hope it includes the £80 aswell, that's a lot of money for a key and programming.

I forgot my bigger bit of good news earlier. I did some calculations today and I think I've reduced my fixed outgoings (phone, mobile, gas and electricity etc) by £32 per month. I did some more calculations and I think there is the potenial to reduce by another £40-50 before I even look at my mortgage. Plus I have over £300 in quidco waiting to pay out and will get more as I move my contracts around to get better deals on stuff. The thought of having £70-80 extra per month is brilliant :D

    Night!

Up early today, bins and recycling out, got to clean kitchen floor in a sec and wait for plumber to arrive for proper boiler repair. However, grrr!:mad: Small rant coming. Called up Tesco about charging me twice for my groceries. They called up my local store who told them that I've only been charged once, so now I have to take my receipt and a print out of my bank statement down to the store. I don't have a printer at home, so I'll have to go into work tomorrow (6 miles each way) to print off the bank statement, then go back to Tesco to prove that it has left my account twice :mad: I would go into work today, but it may look a bit obvious that I'm just there to use the printer given that I have the day off on holiday  and knowing my boss, he'll probably get me to do some work seeing as I'm there  Also, I guess I can maybe try and tie the journey up with some other errands tomorrow.

Going to order my Mum's Xmas pressie online in a sec, through quidco on my &more card, which will give me points for M&S vouchers and I'll promptly pay off from my 'Xmas' account :D

Thanks Bowski :D I must admit, I'm quite pleased and it's good to see that my efforts have had some impact. More to do though!

    Hey Gwen

That is brilliant news - well done on sorting out such a good decrease in your monthly outgoings.

But how annoying with Tesco's - surely they can see they've charged you twice???? and equally annoying about A&L

I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend off. I have Tuesday off from work as it is my birthday and I really need the time off! I'm getting major work fatigue!!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Hi Gwen, that's disgusting about tesco, I now understand why Lula calls them tatco. Are you going to put a complaint in after you've got everything sorted with them? God what cheeky gits

Did you order your Mum's xmas present? I've ordered a few things online with money off/free delivery codes. And I need to order some more now the parcel deliveries have dried up, as sad as I am I love receiving parcels :o

Hope you have a good weekend

Thanks for the messages girls! The money from Quidco will go to Mr Barclarycard when it comes through. And I'm very pleased with the reduction in my outgoings. I need to get onto the other bills I can reduce though. I honestly didn't think there'd be much scope for reducing my bills because I've been a MSE fan for years. However, thinking about it, I haven't done an overhaul of my bills for a couple of years now. Well worth it though! More money for me to enjoy and possibly save up for a holiday next year :D :j

Up early again  Was hoping for a lie-in this morning, but one of my nice neighbours woke me up at 8.15am hammering. Grrr  It's not an unusual occurrence, in fact I think the same thing happened last weekend, so I need to remember this whenever I'm tempted by a new top or some shoes. I'd rather have a nicer house, somewhere else.

Don't feel like I did loads yesterday moneysaving wise, but did some cleaning. The plumber has been round and properly fixed the boiler. He says it's sorted now. I'm slightly wary given the problems I've had with it, but fingers crossed nothing else will need doing on it for a while now. I'm hoping it's not going to be too expensive because he wasn't here long on either visit. Also, I googled the part yesterday afternoon and I reckon it will have been about £30 max. Still I'm trying to be really frugal this month in anticipation of the bill.

I realised after I posted yesterday that I'm a bit stupid. Almost as stupid as Tesco, but not quite ;) I printed out my bank statements at work on Thursday, so I have a copy right here! No journey needed, well except to Tesco themselves  I didn't go and sort it out yesterday. The plumber came later than expected and I decided it was too cold and gloomy out and I was too tired, so I napped on the sofa and did a bit of goddessing instead :D Got to get that sorted today though. I might put in a complaint Bowski :D Given my recent letter writing, why stop now?! :D

I did order my Mum's Christmas present. Not sure when they're going to arrive. I splashed out a bit and ordered her two tickets to go and see Michael Buble next year. I'm a bit worried because she mentioned jumpers when I asked her what she wanted, but she can get jumpers anytime and I don't know how often MB tours. I like getting people 'experiences' if I can do for gifts and maybe things they might not necessarily buy for themselves. Hopefully she'll be pleased with them.

Enjoy your birthday and your day off, makeup! I know what you mean about work fatigue!!! I decided on Tuesday this was an emergency situation and I couldn't possibly make it to Friday this week! Job for the New Year - look for new job.

Right, I'm going to get off and compile todays 'To Do' list.

Forgot to mention, look on the freebies board for free samples of Toblerone Tobelle and some skincare samples from sk:n. I would post links, but I don't know how to. I ordered both yesterday :D

There was something on there yesterday about being on the test panel for beauty products for Look magazine. I drafted an email yesterday. Need to find a decent pic of me and send it off. I like the idea of beauty products dropping through my door :D
